An endless arcade-style maze game with combat, upgrades, and unlockables. Lots of different weapons and abilities to play around with, plus there are multiple different maze styles each with their own look and music, so things don't get stale. Easy to sit down, jump in, and sink some time into this enjoyable little game - would recommend!

adorable and comfy retro arcade-style maze runner. i never really play retro arcade-style games and i certainly didn't grow up on them, but somehow gimmick sparks intense nostalgia in me?? i really like that you can equip and level different abilities for each run, and having achievements + unlockable cosmetics is great!

A game that's easy to say "just one more round" it's somewhat reminiscent of old school flash and NES games, but unlocking and modifying your kit makes for good fun deciding what to bring in, as some skills destroy enemy projectiles and blockades, whereas others might destroy many enemies in a wide radius offering a surprising amount of thought when climbing through the maze. A fun game in small bursts, if there was one thing that could be improved upon it is the sudden jerky nature the game scrolls, it's hard on my eyes, but all in all, a fun game to try and get farther and farther in!

Fun little maze runner game in the style of old window's games. Get little weapons, blow up shapes, collect coins, pass college. Main character is cute as heck, putting Cammy to shame with GRATUITOUS thigh exposure.

Gimmick in the Chaos Dimension is a fun throwback to oldschool DOS games. While the gameplay is simple and repetitive, those two things make it an addicting experience that it's easy to lose a few hours to. The controls (and fortunately controller support) are intuitive and easy to use and master. The art is cute. Very worth giving a look.

A simple but well crafted game dedicated to the pixel era it takes inspiration from. The aesthetics are colorful, the art cute, the gameplay simple but challenging in a very fun way. The music is nailing its tone and never feels repetitive or rough on the ears. The maze running is enjoyable, slow paced but not boring, allowing you to see what's happening without slowing the game to a crawl. The powerups feel powerful and may cause you some pause deciding which one is best for your play-style despite each one feeling effective. The grind to level up abilities is minimal as you're always collecting the currency for it with each step and a few runs can net you a nearly maxed out ability. Enemies have different behaviors which diversifies the challenge and how you approach any given path you choose to go down. As of yet, there isn't a thing to complain or criticize as far as I'm aware. Clearly a game well made and made with care and attention to make it simple, but fun. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys a casual experience and/or games throwing it back to the pixel era. Looking forward to playing more once I'm done here.

Reminiscent of old classic arcade games, Gimmick is really good to have in your library if you want something to play in quick bursts between tasks but still want to keep your brain sharp since it's a good exercise in planning out your path quickly and making the best of your abilities - it's got that good "one more go" quality to it for sure. If you want something more out of it than a quick break game, it also happens to be good for challenging yourself too, to see how high a score you can get or see how far you can go. The music's pretty easy on the ears too as an added bonus!

Fun little maze climber. Each enemy has their own behavior type and learning what to do in each situation and which powerups to use to get as far as possible is satisfying!
