Yep, pretty much what it says on the label! About 30 minutes of content (I have 2 hours registered because I left it running while I wasn't using it) Your temperature being your health is an interesting mechanic, you overheat not only from being attacked, but also from enemies dying near you (they explode) overloading yourself when you reload, and a little bit with each shot. It feels like more could be done with the mechanic, but I guess this small game is not the place for that. Over all, this feels like one of those sokpop games that totally could serve as a starting point for further exploration and the creation of a larger game! :D It's not a game I see myself replaying, bit too dull for that, but it was a fun experience nonetheless and I DO recommend it. ^^

Worth every penny. There's no story basically- you just have to find spaceship parts to leave the asteroid. There's some world building along with simple yet sometimes challenging gameplay. The game sometimes dynamically adapts to your "moment-to-moment" decisions such as- if you get out of your scooter during your fight, the enemy (if he doesn't have a scooter) will steal your scooter, thus having an upper hand over you. In the end, its a fun little game with a really impressive soundtrack. Almost anyone can pick it up and have a blast with it and finish it in under 30 minutes. Has a cool vibe and aesthetic.

Very short game, but very cool. Not too difficult but a little challenging here and there, definitely made with some speedrunning potential. Could see this fleshed out into something really cool one day.

"Wild-9 is a short robot cowboy adventure" Yup, it sure is. I enjoyed my 47 minutes with the game a lot! Fun top-down shooter gameplay, simple upgrades to movement and guns, scooting around is quite enjoyable with a good sense of speed. Genuinely wish there was more *game* to it. I could definitely play more of this. Literally the only downside is one song has an ungodly loud shatter sound that hurts. Rest of the music is a bop though.

Pretty fun and nice looking although a bit hard to get into (although easier to get than some sokpop games). Wish there'd be expanded version with more stuff.

Pretty fun little game! Though this one is a weird mix of really polished elements, and completely underdeveloped parts: + Visual style and presentation really solid + Map is actually pretty big and has some things to explore + Different gun types and some other upgrades - Some UI elements (heat meter) are almost invisible against the same color BG - The trap/club music is just does NOT fit, and includes very startling and sudden loud sounds (this is a common Sokpop issue. Sorry sound guy!) Just disable BGM. - Scooter controls were too floaty to be enjoyable Unfortunately this game just is untapped potential again. With some shuffling of resources and slightly more polish and content, this could have been a banger.

One of the worst examples of open world game design I've come across. This puts the open into open world because except for a few fences around settlements the world is completely flat open ground with nothing to guide you, there are no biomes with differently colored ground to tell you where you are and no unique landmarks either. Once I got to a point where there were no more hints from NPC's about where to find stuff I was just completely lost. And besides this, the ticking trap beats gave me a headache so I had to turn the music off and the rest of the soundscape is just pretty empty.

Cute and fun like the rest of the sokpop games, abilities and weapons are fun, and the driving and combat is pretty satisfying.

A good, albeit buggy game. There is an issue that when you delete a save then try to start a new game, some old events from the previous run will be saved. I solved this by just closing and reopening the game, but still a big issue. It is an interesting game, with a cool way of finding things (hint, talk to NPCs). The world is very confusing and could've used a map, as well as a way to differentiate between places you've been and haven't been better. Good pickup for the price.

Do you ever find that SokPop game that you really enjoy in terms of gameplay, but it only has 20 minutes of content so you just get very tilted instead? To be clear, I don't have a problem with the length of a game, I just see a game that has enough assets to be a longer experience, so even if they repurposed some of the content, it would still be enjoyable for at least a few hours. For example, since the game already has a hoverbike for the player and the enemies, they could have made a few racing challenges to make the game more wholesome or at least some kind of arena mode. It reminds me of the Helionaut a bit, you will explore a small open world where the objective is to repair the ship, but there is no crafting system. The game can be completed in 20 minutes on the first attempt, and as far as I can tell, there is not much in terms of optional content; you are not required to pick up every upgrade, but it only adds maybe 5 minutes of exploration. I do like the gameplay, the on-hit feedback feels very satisfying, additionally to just having Star Wars vibes with the speeders. You can unlock a few different weapons, I got the duel-blaster and the energy shotgun in addition to the starting weapon which is like a regular blaster. Let me use another game from SokPop as an analogy to explain where my criticism is coming from. They made this fun game where you swim on the boat and fish, except there are only a few types of fish. In comparison to making a game, adding more fish variety is not that big of a deal, but it makes a huge difference. I understand that SokPop has a short development cycle so they abandon the games very quickly, all I am saying that if you already put the effort to make the assets and mechanics, make sure that you use them to the fullest. I like the combat in this game, but I never really had a chance to utilize the power-ups properly. Look, I am not asking you guys to make 3-hour games all the time, but if you have a good idea, don't treat it like junk, it's very frustrating to see such a fun concept and have it abandoned so easily, out of all the things you came up with, this should have received more love. Maybe put a small arena with 10 waves or something like that, let me use those mechanics and upgrades, and you already have the assets to make it.
Pros/Cons:
(x) It's a fun game, just too barebones in terms of content for me to formulate a strong opinion, I wish there was more to it. The core mechanics had potential to be fun, if they were supported with things to do. On a side note, I generally like the reused music in SokPop universe, but there is a point where you should consider making something new as well. Overall Thoughts: 6/10 It's SokPop, so the lack of content is expected because of the short development cycle, but this is not a story-driven game, it's an exploration game with combat and should have more exploration. Again, I don't dislike the game, I just don't want to see a good concept abandoned so easily. I would play a game like this for 10 hours if it had 10 hours of content, and I am not asking for 10 hours, just not 20 minutes.
