Just finished the game and... wow. I'm speechless. The end is amazing! But if the end is amazing, it is also because the game is really well done. Very nice art, well-balanced puzzles, nice sounds, and a very special atmosphere. Really interesting idea to combine puzzles with a story - and what a story... I really got fascinated and wanted to finish it... and then, the end! The portrait layout (phone-like) is okay but feels a bit cramped. And because the drawings are so nice, they should take the full screen! It would also help for the immersion. But this is only my taste. I had a lot of fun and I went deep into an atmospheric journey... that was a very nice experience! Thank you Polte Games for that. I definitely recommend it.

The ending of this game is gonna stick with me for a very long time, it really took me by surprise and made me think. Meaningful ending with a message is the last thing I'd expect in a puzzle game, but Sixth Extinction delievers just that. The game has amazing atmosphere, the graphics are stylish and beatiful. The ambient sounds get under your skin and make you feel tension and the narration is really well done as well. The puzzles are short, but sweet, there were times when I had to stop and think, especially in the later levels. The only thing some people will mind, is the mobile resolution. This game was clearly built for mobiles first. Personally, I didn't mind, since the game and its UI fit. I didn't run into a situation, where I was thinking to myself, if only the resolution was bigger, I could see things better. However, it is something worth bringing up. I enjoyed my experience with Sixth Extinction and I can easily recommend it, if you don't mind that it's not made with PCs in mind.

I really enjoyed the game, it's very unusual game as the combination of narrative and puzzle is something I have never seen before in such a way. I enjoyed the different stages and when I started playing, I thought to myself "will all of the game be like this?". But I quickly found out the puzzles changed with the narrative and I really enjoyed that! So a quick list of pros and cons: PRO: - Interesting and diverse puzzles, often suprised me - Satisfying to solve the puzzles - Really nice mood and fitting graphics - Good narrator voice CON: - I did not like the screen format very much, I felt the port from mobile could have used some more love - Only english language - Controls sometimes could use some explanation Even tough I found those points negative, I overall recommend the game, especially for the price! I definitely got my entertainment and brain-tickling for the price of a small coffee 🤘
