a great game of gun with a random attribute so every games looks differents the only thing i find unfortunate is we can not save the progress and guns we selected so if we love a gun particulary we have to win every time to keep this gun if we lost we will lost this gun and as it is random attribute we could not easyly have this gun again if not the graphism in looks bd are wonderfull even if we would love to see few anime characters we see in the wonderfull draws on the wall of the menu setting during the stages like the robots we can protect and wich can protect us but there is no human characters and i found the only non robots enemies less anime shading but anyway i recommand a lot this game a great game vr

Fun but lacking in content as of 7/30/21. pretty basic 360 degree wave shooter. You get to pick a new gun after every wave. Guns have special traits (Fire, poison, ice, ext...) I see potential for this game to be a lot better. As of now I would still recommend it as a time waster. As far as content there is just not a lot of it atm. Fun but very simple currently. It's a little over priced but not by much in it's current state.

Edit - There is a game-breaking bug where the game does not register that all the mobs have been killed so youree left standing in the middle of an open map with nothing going on. The game has no pause or menu button so the only way to fix this bug is to restart the game through the VR menu etc. This bug happens mostly on the first level but it happens on others rarely. I have encountered it roughly 25% of my runs.

These other reviews are full of poo. Buy this.
Tower of Doom is a great arcade game. It would appear these other reviewers dont understand the mechanics of the game. (scroll to the end for gameplay tips and observations) Some mechanics: 1. Extra or unused guns can be placed on pedestals which turn them into turrets that shoot along side you during waves. 4 pedestals and 2 hands means 6 guns can be in play at any given time, and the pedestals display its current gun's stats so you can easily compare it to others. 2. Guns have a general level along side individual stats such as rate of fire and accuracy, making it fun to swap out guns as you get new ones increasing your overall firepower. 3. Before each wave you choose 1 new gun from a selection of 4 guns, each with vastly different traits. 4. Guns have a variety of elements and extra effects, such as a gun which deals fire damage with rounds that split into multiples on impact. Or, ice rounds which slow enemies, and act as land mines if fired onto the ground. There are tons of sweet combinations. 5. The mechanic of using guns as automated turrets, combined with the variety of elements and effects makes for some sweet strategy and replay-ability. 6. Fun mini-game pre-wave where you shoot cards with each card offering a different bonus for the upcoming wave. Extra health, extra shield, points multiplier, etc etc are some of the options. Shoot as many 'dancing' cards as you can for massive bonuses within the time limit. Pros: Simply fun gameplay. Insane variety of guns due to the randomness of stats and abilities. Sound effects and visuals are on point. Frantic and engaging in a good way. (enemies attack from all sides and above.) Cons: Very limited settings menu featuring only volume controls for effects and music. [strike] No rotation controls means you have to turn in your play area 360 degrees manually. [/strike] No tutorial or explanation of bonuses or mechanics. PS, I only stopped playing to write this review because one of my controllers ran out of battery.

Gameplay Tips and Observations: 1. You can rotate your view by 90 degrees by depressing the right joystick while tilting it either right or left. 2. Getting 3 quick kills, regardless of shots missed between kills, will reward you with the green ammo refill power-up which automatically refills your clips when collected. 3. The same goes for the health refill power-up however I do not know how many kills are required for it to spawn. Possibly 10. 4. "Shots pass through walls" has some interesting mechanics.

"Walls" includes almost everything that obstructs view. Terrain, plants, buildings, etc can all be penetrated. Yes this also includes the walls that the bonus mini game cards hide behind.
There are a small number of items that cannot be penetrated such as some interactable environment objects.
There is an even smaller number of interactable items that the shots will pass through without triggering an interaction. (such as the purple balls on the mushroom level)
5. Enemies appear to spawn an equal number of times relative to each other, making a repeating pattern. (as apposed to random spawning across the various spawn locations) This means once you get used to the spread of monster spawning around the area you can easily rotate accordingly to shoot them as they appear. 6. If you want to skip the gun selection for whatever reason, you can shoot the white circle at the top of the wall that is behind you, if you are standing in your default VR orientation. 7. Each zone appears to have a (x4) point multiplier hidden somewhere, although I have not yet found one in every zone. 8. Some zones have intractable objects that can help you deal with enemies, including the tutorial map. One of the cooler ones is
the under water zone has lightning-enchanted tree things that will zap nearby monsters when shot.
Comment below adding your own observations and tips or to correct any information I may have wrong!

pretty sweet game! The guns kinda give me a borderlands vibe since they have rng stats/abilities. The enemies have a good amount of differences to them in appearance and types and there's even more types of guns. I really like how you can keep upgrading your weapon to make it last longer and that you have 4 weapon turret spots to place guns you want to keep or to put a new gun while you're working on upgrades for it. I think it has potential for lots more too! ( i'd love to see more boss or mini boss encounters.)

‘Tower of Doom’ is a wave shooter. What? You want more than that? Well..so did I! This game is as basic as wave shooters get. You get to pick one gun from the start from a random selection of 4 of them and then you enter a side mini-game in which you shoot neon cards for some reason, then you enter the arena. Here you will shoot a single wave of enemies until that wave is over, then you get to do the same thing over and over again. There is no story here, no challenge, seemingly no reason for doing any of it. The thing is graphically the game looks OK and it is clear someone has put a lot of effort into it, but for me there was no point to it, no fun and for a game that costs £11.39 I expect a LOT more content. Playing the same small rotation of levels and enemies over and over isn’t fun, it’s boring and repative. But if you enjoy that sort of thing maybe this game is for you. But it most certainly wasn’t for me. Oh…and by the way, this game is 2M SQ roomscale only as there is no movement within your little cube platform.
