Disclaimer: My scores/reviews are almost always based on having bought the game at close to the "lowest historical price" on steam at time of purchase.
Quick score: 3/5
In terms of aesthetic, probably one of the most horrificly terrible things I've ever seen/played lmao. I actually despise the main character design. The background art is decent, but the levels are very much copy paste drag and drop assets "mario maker" style so they can look a bit bland. Some of the music is actually pretty dope, but doesn't match the game at all lmao.
HOWEVER, the character movement and level design is actually solid and offers an enjoyable challenge. Just completed the 4th world, out of what I'm guessing is maybe 12ish. Overall difficulty even this early in the game I would say is 7/10, so I can only imagine near the end it's probably pretty nuts. Though I will say the difficulty curve is a bit whack at times and you will get random super easy levels thrown in out of nowhere.
Overall a pretty decent barebones platformer, with no story, and some extremely bizarre aesthetic choices lmao. If you like platformers and are up for a challenge, You should expect about 4-5 hours of playtime. (will update with exact number once I've completed myself)
EDIT: Another moderate complaint, there is no ability in game to select individual levels. For some reason they force you to replay the entire chapter which could potentially cost a lot of time if you end up missing 1 collectible.
Also, no achievements.

Update: Currently stuck on what i believe is an impossible level on chapter 5, waiting for dev reply. Doesn't really change review much because even if the game was unplayable beyond this point, I still got about 2 hours of content out of it, which for 2.99$ is fair enough. Though obviously It would be better if I could access the other half of the game lmao

i love precision platformers. i have finished Celeste, Super Meat Boy, The End Is Nigh, Milli & Greg, Rite with much enjoyment. if you want good platformers, play those games. if you want an extremely frustrating platformer, Glam is the right choice

I enjoy difficult platformers (Celeste, Wings of Vi) and wasn't convinced after the first world that this game was worth my time, but by the end of the second world the difficulty picked up and I was more interested. By the fourth world, I was enjoying it a lot and was determined to see it through to the end.
I didn't mind the simple design or lack of story (actually a plus for me) because I care more about the gameplay. The controls felt good. The music really grew on me. I thought the level design was really good although it did struggle with some inconsistent difficulty. Each stage focuses around a new type of obstacle (falling blocks, disappearing blocks, missiles, rhythm, etc) and has a new color palette to go with it.
This game could definitely use some more polish. I would have enjoyed some bonus levels or something that gets unlocked with the cassettes.
I managed to 100% the game (from the current reviews I may be the first?) and collected all the cassettes. Here's my final death counts for each stage:
1) 35
2) 218
3) 239
4) 604
5) 377
6) 217
7) 328
8) 501
9) 645
10) 473
11) 586
I think this game deserves a wider audience because I think it gets a lot right and was a lot of fun despite its shortcomings. I hope more people pick it up and give it a try.

Sadly, the chara design (what were they thinking?) is not the worst thing about this game and that's saying a lot. The gameplay just doesn't feel right. It's sluggish, the hitboxes are wrong, the graplin-hook is terrible and the level design is below average.
