Rhythm has hardly anything to do with the gameplay

It's a tough game that requires a lot of concentration to simultaneously dodge enemies & bullets, shoot at your targets, utilize your abilities, avoid hazards, AND keep with the rhythm. If you're not in a quite environment without interruptions, this game becomes difficult. The aesthetic of the game is very desolate but the dialog is very quirky and silly, which is a bit incongruent. But the presentation fits the gameplay well and looks pretty good. Your shots shoot with the rhythm but you have to time your power shots with the rhythm. combining that with dodging makes the game satisfying when you're able to pull these maneuvers off. You're able to use some currency for permanent upgrades to make builds, and use other currencies for in-run power-ups for a single run. It's a fun and effective method for a Rogue-like. I do think the in-run power-ups can afford to be more out there. They were a bit basic and don't change that gameplay that much. Overall, tough but fair game that requires a lot of concentration. Getting good is difficult but satisfying.

This game was pretty unique. I felt that the balance of rhythm game and bullet hell didn't quite work out but I like the graphics and music.
