Wow, they really crafted their games back then. It's almost overwhelmingly complex, but fabulously fun.

So far, this has been a great remake of an amazing game. I can only hope that it's continued popularity and success convinces SE to re-release March of the Black Queen and make a new game in this franchise. If you're looking for a TBS game that doesn't restrict you to a squad size of 5 or 6 and allows you to develop a deep bench, I highly recommend this game. I can understand people's complaints about it being grindy, but there are some convenient ways to mitigate that. Do training mission with turning the AI on for all of your units while doing other things. You just have to check it every once and a while to push through random dialog boxes. This allows you to level unit skills with being a direct sink on your time.

Have fun playing, the lore is cool. Not dark as I've heard but still hit. Some characters' personality is not consistent between different endings but still good. The graphic is also good, I enjoy Square Enix art a lot. The sprite in game looks funny but I can enjoy it tho. This game is fun until CODA 4. Too much grinding and less tactical (Except the fight against Lancelot), the UX of this game so bad at many aspects I don't even want to talk about. I can't expect much from an old game, very little info about this game online, and even if they had it, it's not always be a valid information. There's some error here and there so I have to pull through a lot of testing. I still recommend this game for who wants to try games like TRPG, I've heard this is one of the best so far. If you want to beat the game in 1 ending, It will be fun. If you want to 100% Achievement or going through all the content. You either need to grind a lot or you need to read a lot of info online (some are wrong) and make a plan thoroughly before jump in or you gonna waste a lot of time.

It's not as good as the original, but it is similar enough for the nostalgia.. if you care about achievements then it may not be worth playing, because it only awarded about half the achievements it should have.

If you like Final Fantasy Tactics, this game isn't for you. Okay so I'm a casual and i like to go at a game at my own pace and grind up or do side missions until the next big battle which FFTA did a lot of. This one, every map is done once and if you miss something? Well.... try not to miss anything. you do have a training mode you can go to but that literally just makes the exp go up in your party, no money or anything like that, you're forced to play through a linear campaign through the whole game. I fell off the game personally because it just wasn't fun anymore, would not recommend

I really expected to love this game. Final Fantasy Tactics was and is my favorite game of all time. But... I just don't. So many of the spells or abilities just don't work. I have yet to encounter an entertaining battle - they are either trivial or ridiculous and deliberately frustrating, there is absolutely nothing in that large happy middle ground. There is really no guide or anything like that, so it's purely trial and error. Very, VERY disappointed.

Smashingly good stuff here. Has some small but interesting differences from the og that make it fresh to play, yet still as much of a joy as ever to see the story told once more. Every RPG fan should play this at least once in their gaming days imo, it's that good. Thanks for bringing it back devs!

So far it's what I expected. If you like Final Fantasy Tactics and games like that, you'll like this. Story doesn't go on too long in between battles if that's what you're looking for. Runs great on Steamdeck too which is always a bonus.

The Voice acting is a nice addition, but the game changes from the PSP version are game-ruining. There were attempts to simplify the game, but they went too far. The AI is braindead and cares only for dealing big damage numbers (no status effects, no nothing; It will never do anything other than damage or heal). Unit customization was gutted. Support buffs now just random procs at turn start turn a hard game into an RNG fest. Combine with the new card buff system makes some battles 100% RNG. There is no strategy here, and tactics don't matter since there are no meaningful choices to be made. Despite lots of QoL oriented changes, the game is more a chore to play than ever. 1/10, would not recommend. Play the PSP version instead. It is more fun than this.
