More a hidden object game than a point and click, and the scenes felt more static and lifeless than the screenshots suggested. I wasn't really thrilled by the gameplay – it felt sluggish at times (dialogs aren't as easily skippable at you'ld wish, slow, unskippable but repeated sequences etc.) and the controls did contribute to that: no idea why they didn't stick to the good, old "left = use/take, right=look" formula. The story itself is, well, okay I guess, but a tad trivial and moralistic. Plus, it wasn't really told in a way which gets you involved. Give it a try if you like hidden objects and are fine with a short but slow casual experience. Otherwise move on.

For the price it's an interesting, quirky story. The game mechanics are pretty tricky, though. You'll curse, you'll scream when you are trying to switch from observing mode to grasp mode and back. Also one has to wait a long time for the text explanations to appear as captions, and if there are two parts to the explanation, there are double waits. You don't seem to be able to skip them, either.
Boring !
I wanted to like this as the graphics looked appealing. Thankfully only a short game, made longer by the s--l--o--w verbose dialogue text boxes that seemed to go on and on and on and on ... The (mouse) controls are horrid, felt so clunky to select and use objects. Could have been a fun little game as it has some interesting puzzles. Unfortunately it just became tedious.

The game is pretty short but definitely worth the price! The story is interesting and the riddles and puzzles are very fun to solve. The art is peculiar and particular, and the various scenarios are very characterized and colourful. 8/10

Enypnion is a short point 'n click adventure game where you have to guide Jonathan through his dreamworld... solving puzzles and passing obstacles. Travelling through this bizar world might even learn Jonathan a few things about himself. I liked this short game... there was something intruiging about these sureal locations and bizar encounters. For an indie game by one person it was a very polished product. Nice graphics, music and sounds. Puzzles were also interesting and well integrated in the story. recommended!

That’s a nice indie point and click game with some strong ideas behind it. Nice visuals, music and some well-designed puzzles. It’s not very long but then again it’s dirt cheap. In terms of gameplay, it reminded me of another small game called “Hostil” despite having a totally different theme. If you liked that game, definitely play this too.

A very beautiful but short PnC game about the dream of a boy. There are no voiceovers, but the soundtrack fits perfectly the eerie atmosphere of the game. Progress is linear and puzzles are fairly simple and logical. The game is about 1 hour long and there are two possible endings that depend on your final action. I quite enjoyed the beauty of this game but I just wished the game had been longer.

Cute little game. It's great for its price. The storyline is interesting and educational, it has a nice amount of puzzles, although they're kinda easy, and its art style is nice. You did a great job! Keep it up! Till next time, don't forget to point & click!

november 2023 edit: made obsolete by enypnion redreamed with more content and features. this is essentially a paid demo now, should be made free. flipped the review to a non-recommendation but didn't change anything below. enypnion is a short point & click adventure starring young jonathan, who's going on a fantastic journey in his sleep, so the title fits, as it roughly translates to dream. can't say much about the story without spoiling stuff, but suffice it to say, the kid will visit spooky and colorful locations and meet friendly and not so friendly characters, while solving mostly trivial puzzles. basic chess knowledge might come in handy at one point and there's some trial & error, as well as fail states if you do something stupid, but you get to try again almost immediately without losing progress. the presentation is fantastic, excellent artwork matching the fairytale-like setting, nice music, but no voiceovers. separate volume settings are available, plus saving and loading anytime over 8 slots. always appreciated, but it's not really necessary here, as the game only takes a bit more than an hour, but you might want to save here and there to get to the other ending faster. dialog can be skipped line by line, but I wish cutscenes were clickable too, especially after a failure. nothing else to criticize, a few typos here and there, but nothing major. the price is more than friendly and due to its low difficulty it can work well as someone's first point & click adventure.

In two words, I would describe Enypnion as a very pleasant gaming experience. It has a certain charm not easily found in such small games. It’s a short game so don’t expect too many hours out of it but the price is more than fair. In more detail ------------------ Most puzzles have to do with using the right item from your inventory although there are a couple of mini-games (they were not very difficult). Nothing really difficult and most veterans of the genre will not face a great challenge. There were two puzzles that I found to be really clever. One in the chessboard scene and the other right before the end. There’s a surreal logic in a few cases but this is explained due to the dream world that the game takes place. The story is quite simple and is explained in the end. It worked fine for me. Nothing amazing but solid. I would like to take some time to praise the game for the overall atmosphere. There are some very nice illustrations throughout the game and a whimsical feel that is also helped by the music which is also very appropriate. Despite the 3rd person view, the game could also work a a 1st person game since the character is not actually moving on the screen. I would definitely liked a sequel. Maybe a longer one that could take this game to another level.
