Bought this because I enjoyed Like Dreamer, and it's also quite good as well. No fun boss dialogues here, sadly, but a solid Touhou-like. Easily worth the low price of entry.

CosmoDreamer has instantly become one of my favorite all-time bullet hell shoot 'em ups! :) It's a relatively fast-paced shmup with a cute art style, with the focus more on reaction than memorization. This game offers: - 8 stages, and an extra stage - a stage selection mode, and an arcade mode - customizable shot/bomb types for different playstyles (4 parameters x 4 options) - 4 difficulties, and unlockable
revenge bullets
mode - a practice mode that allows you to practice specific stage parts, or the boss - a short tutorial, and an in-game manual that explains the mechanics - the game registers pacifist runs - achievements - online leaderboards for arcade mode / extra stage The game has several options that make it very accessible for beginners (single-stage selection mode, homing/spread shot available, better autobomb settings at the cost of efficiency, stage help settings), w/o affecting advanced players. The game rewards you for: - defeating enemies quickly - getting close to enemies - grazing - item collection (game has a point of collection mechanic) - using bombs to clear many bullets, instead of using them defensively - not getting hit during a boss fight - not (auto)-bombing during a boss fight - picking stronger attack options, at the cost of weaker / no autobomb The soundtrack is from the Japanese royalty free music site MusMus, and can be downloaded for free. Note: I found the Mature Content description on the store page a bit confusing, since I saw no sexual content whatsoever in this game. The only thing that comes close is that 2 bosses have large breasts, but ... that's it. It's just a cute game with a cute and innocent story, about a girl who dreams that she and her classmates can fly.

Good game! Touhou-style bullet hell shmup. Very competent and creative gameplay, good scoring system. Eases you in with a tutorial, single-level gameplay and a very doable easy mode. Higher difficulties are no joke, though! You can also choose between severals weapons for every sub-type (one of which is a auto-bomb for easier first 1cc). Visuals are clean and charming, but let's be hones: The art doesn't look very professional. Which is a shame, because the game runs at high resolution and could have been a real winner with high grade art. Don't let that dissuade you from buying, though, very good shmup!
