A really enjoyable port of the original Sega Genesis game. While a touch short (will probably take you 4-6 hours to beat), it does have some replayability benefits. I also find it pleasant that it's not horrendously difficult like a lot of similar modern games.
There are a couple of technical issues I would be remiss in not mentioning, though:
- I ran into a bug in the 3 temple where prompts weren't appearing. Turns our there is a framerate bug where it wont show the prompt unless your displace framerate isn't set to 60 fps.
-The game requires a controller, which is a bit of a barrier for some people, but really if you are playing a side scroller you probably should have one.
I definitely would recommend this game if you are looking for a pleasant game with a fun story.
