If you make a boss fight that takes forever to restart, relies on RNG to get lucky to beat and involves waiting for slow ass pawns to cross the board before it can even start - then it doesn't matter what good will you might have earned at that point, it's all gone and your game sucks.

Fun game! A proper soulslike where you and your friend only have 1 health. I played with my brother, and had a blast the full way through. There was only one boss that I didn't really like, but out of the 15 or so, it is a net positive. The only con is that there is no map feature unless you are in the hub, and with the amount of backtracking and going to old areas you have to do, it makes it annoying to go around and remember where you had to go to find certain doors and such. If you like hollow knight or any fromsoft game, you'll probably like this!

Severely underrated. It plays similar to Dark Souls in that you need to time your dodges and counterattacks, but what makes it harder is you die in one hit. The walk backs to bosses however are a lot more lenient so you can keep trying without wasting much time. The world itself and lore are also interesting to delve into. I'd recommend playing this co-op for a better experience.

Most incredible coop game, very pretty, stylish and immersive dark fantasy visuals, insanely huge fan of the little to no hud design and one hit to death approach, all fight feel different and show off the personality of your enemies wonderfully, It's illustrated and animated in a way in that I feel like very few games do and this one manages to do it amazingly well, it's very cool to experiment with different builds as they change fundamentaly how you approach the game, the only thing that bothered me a little is that I wish the big upgrades would offer some more variety than just some buffs for the player that is alive, like maybe a tether that connects you both closely in exchange for lots of stats
Still the game is very much worth it's time and price I would say a must play for all those who love dark fantasy aesthetics, challanging coop games and especially for fans of the souls-borne games

remarkable game. started off by feeling like the combat was silly, but by the end of it there were some of the best boss fights i've played in ages. kinda masters that dancy vibe of sekiro or hollow knight, though 1-hit-kills are obviously harsh. try it out!

Perennial Order is set in hauntingly beautiful world that feels like a mashup between The Last of Us and Bloodborne.
I never knew I wanted a cosmic horror game involving plants until I stumbled into this one.
Perennial Order is a "bush rush" style game similar to titles like Cuphead, Furi, Eldest Souls, Titan Souls and SotC. If you've playing any of those games, you know what you're getting into.
You play as a squishy, plant-resurrected corpse with exceptional agility, but you die after a single hit. Your goal is to protect the remnants of humanity from the monstrosities that have taken over the countryside. There are 15 bosses in total, and they all have unique designs, unique attack patterns and mechanics, and interesting lore tied to them. There are no regular enemies.
There's some exploration as you wander through the world, but it's more meant to drive home the game's atmosphere and to provide a stage for several side quests you can pursue to power up your character (e.g. more dps, new abilities, more ability points, etc.).
This is a great game and a highly recommend you check it out if you have any interest in the "boss rush" sub-genre. In my opinion this is one of the best, second only to Cuphead:
Pros:
+Visually stunning
+ Engrossing Bloodborne/ cosmic horror inspired narrative and world
+15 unique boss fights that all play differently
+Very fun, frenetic combat
+Quick respawns with no boss runs. It doesn't waste your time!
Cons:
-Dying in one hit can sometimes feel too punishing
-Some areas (like the main hub) are a bit too spread out
-The final boss feels a bit unfair/ RNG based
If any of that sounds interesting to you at all, I encourage you to check out Perennial Order.

A unique co-op experience that allowed me to get a condensed souls-like experience with a friend. This game has some really clever boss fights and some really stellar music. The build variety was also pretty cool to toy around with and it feels like every time you get a new option, you go back and take a look at some of the older options that could work with it. It also has a great sense of providing cosmic justice, as every time my friend proceeded to trash talk a boss we were struggling with and calling it a chump, it would kill him the moment after.

What an incredible game, loved every minute of it. from the visuals, to the sound design, to the gameplay, all of it was excellent.
Definitely a very unique experience that I recommend everyone try. It's a shame it didn't sell better, but I hope Gardenfiend continues to make games like this nonetheless.
Very much worth it.
