Played through with a friend. Great bosses (except the forest spotlight guy), great music, great art, great game. Shocked it doesn't have more reviews because it really feels like a well thought out and polished title.

Love this game! Great for anybody who loves co-op souls-likes. It's even fun in single player (though you probably shouldn't get it just for single player).

Fun game. While my duo had issues with some fights I enjoyed them all, some could be more tedious than others but it was an enjoyable time every time we played. Trying to find a better build (instincts) for any given boss was cool and added some potential problem solving on top of the bosses themselves. I didn't totally enjoy the traversal between bosses but as it's a game about bosses it's not too surprising. Easy recommend especially and maybe even primarily if you have a friend that would be interesting in playing a difficult boss fighter. We didn't have any major connections issues though I was the one who hosted so I can't comment much on my own issues in that regard. I last thing I'll mention is the FACT THAT THESE DEVS FOUND A WAY FOR THE DEAD PLAYER TO STILL INTERACT AND HAVE SOME INFLUENCE OVER THE FIGHT. I wish more devs understood that being dead in a multiplayer experience like this can be the most boring uninteresting thing ever, these devs seem to understand that and implemented a system to help alleviate this issue and I personally think they were very successful in their solution. Good game.

I liked the vibe of Burton-esque fairytale book illustrated by David Firth. Loved their method of using Spine 2D animation here. Some special abilities have some questionable balancing issue -like reposte being too overpowered over other abilities-, but the game is filled with unique encounters and endearing moments. Some of the bosses caught two rabbits by being conceptually unique while being mechanically intriguing, which can't be said for other soulslikes' "gimmick boss" encounters. You can spare (probably less than) 10 hours to beat it so you should give it a shot if you want a short and sweet action adventure game.
