I have only played it for a short time, but it seems like a good game.
For starters, it has fluff, so easy to add, so rarely done. Makes for a much better experience.
There seems to be four types of towers, each with a short upgrade tree, with with on split at level three, which is nice, decisions make a game. I believe they eventually get tactical options of a sort as well, which is another bonus.
There are places that you can put a tower that requires clearing, which is interesting, and the game hinted at spots that give you maybe some sort of bonus, but I don't think I have seen one of those yet.
There is also some variety in the monsters, which is always good.
All in all an interesting fun TD offering.
The art is fugly, but the game play more than makes up for it.
ADDENDUM: Over three hours in, and this is really a fun game. Well balanced, interesting towers, and monster. I have found two kind of special towers, one that makes kills more profitable, and one that supposedly does more damage, but no clue how much. Great fun.

I picked up this game on sale for only $0.99, and it is well worth it. Even the full price of $4 is not unreasonable. Quite a bit of content here for what you pay. Keep these games coming!

This game is amazing. The best tower defense game I've ever played. There is a huge variety of enemies and so many different ways to approach each level. This game is an absolute steal at the price!!

I am really glad I bought this. Was a bit sceptical at first because the screenshots looked a bit weird but it is a really nice tower defense game with varied enemies, great towers, useful upgrades, an interesting tech tree, nice extra weapons, and good level design. Only one mission really gave me problems but powering over that seemingly insurmountable obstacle felt incredibly rewarding.
More please!

Really glad to have found this little gem. Cool towers with different upgrade paths unlocked by skill tree and diverse enemies with interesting abilities.
Feedback:
perhaps unskilling could be done without having to press reset every time but rather through right clicking skills to unlearn, little QOL change there especially for ppl like me that like to experiment.
Thanks for the awesome game!

STRATEGY SPOILER ALTERT UNDER THE REVIEW:
Good game. Initially I hated some of the mechanics (in particular freeing up infested tower positions) but it kindof grew on me. It is a cross between tower defense and puzzle, lots of trial and error, and sometimes it seems as if there is only one way to solve the maps and you need to figure out exactly where to put each tower. Have managed to beat the game and get to hard mode, and it is very hard. Bordering on impossible, I think it may be impossible actually.
Anyway, good game. Probably the best tower defense game I've played in the past couple of years, and I do play a lot of them.
Family friendly, no violence, no questionable messages or occult imagery.

- Upgraded machine gun towers are the most powerful and useful.
- In hard mode you will need to reset your research and experiment with minimal amounts of towers regularly as the towers are only available in sequence. There is no point in unlocking all towers as you'll need to place one of each kind until you get back to the one you're needing.
- You may need to destroy some infected tower placement locations to earn enough money to buy towers.

It's a breath of fresh air to play a tower defense game with such unique themes. Really fun mechanics, some of which I haven't seen in any other tower defense game before. Lots of content for such a low price as well, highly recommend!

I love tower defense games!
If you can get over the graphics, you'll find a decent Tower Defense game. It looks like what Master of Orion (yes, the original) would have looked like if it was going for an retro version of itself. If it's not clear, the graphics are pretty clunky.
It'll give you a good day or game play. It has a tech tree, about 25 maps and 4 towers. The balance needs a little tweaking but if you love tower defense games like me, it's worthwhile addition to your library!
I can only hope the first tower defense game that I build turns out this well.

Fun and simple tower defense game that has some challenge especially when it comes to beating a level without losing lives. Luckily the game has a research tree and allows you to re-spec to experiment until you find a strategy that works for a level. Only one level gave me a hard time (and it seems like others too). Either way I don't think it affects the score for the game and help is available in the forum.
The art style is nice and there is a great variety in the enemy types. Each planet comes with a different biome and some of the maps have really well done scenery. My favorite is the one of London.
Some levels come with some modifiers to shake things up and for the most part make the gameplay more interesting.
Content-wise it's probably around 5-10 hours to get all stars in normal mode depending on how much you find yourself struggling with the tougher levels. Hard mode would likely double that, though I haven't played through it all yet. I'm not sure it would make much sense to stretch the game out more, so I think this game has the right amount of content for its level of complexity.
Overall I recommend it given its price point is just right for the amount of playtime it provides.
