I wish Steam would let me choose more thn just thumbs up or thumbs down. I lean more towards thumbs down though I would say this game is NOT BAD but GREAT for the right person, for which I was not. The art style is excellent, the sound effects were great, and the simple yet interesting mini game and time management were compelling. What I did not like, and once again this is JUST ME, but this is my review so if you find any of my gripes irritating as well this game is probably not for you.
1. Limited game play. It's a fun game and on sale its worth the price, but over all the gameplay focuses on the ever increasing difficulty of time and patient management, beyond that theres not really much.
2. No voice acting. This isnt big but after 10 different games opting for text with zero speech i pretty much am sick of having to endlessly read EVERYTHING. This game gots, ton's and ton's of reading that my eyes start to hurt staring at the dull fat text you see in every other indi game. When I wanted to hit the play button my mind raced with the thought of even more eye drying reading.
3. Lots of Art over substance, theres a thin storyline and lots of basic cyberpunk distpia stuff, if you were to think of a distopian cyberpunk sitting thats basically what you are going to get. There's little indepth lore, and what there is; is kinda stale. Theres literally nothing story wise you have not gotten sick of before here.
4. choice of difficulty progression, this does something I hate. Instead of you becoming more stronger, so to say. Everything becomes more difficult, and for no reason. The whole idea is to diagnose people with insanity and cure them, to do this you play mini games that eliminate matching symbols to the game you are playing. Eliminate all the symbols and you cure the patient. For no reason whatsoever as you progress the amount of symbols you have to get rid of via mini games is ever increasing. all while you operate on minimal time. It's one of those games that actively ramps up the limited gameplay to a frustrating level so it can be, "challenging". I never really enjoyed this style of difficulty progression, it just feels lazy and matches the lack of depth the game ultimately has for me.
5. Lack of true tutorial and focusing on discovery instead. This is okay with some games, but when it comes to a game where knowing what you are doing can easily ruin a run, I think its a really dumb idea. The tutorial over all is super minimal lasting less thn 5 minutes and just drops you into it. Some people like this, I hate it. It also may accidentally hide some features that would otherwise make someone who doesnt like the game, give it a brighter review. I say this because if there are any hidden features I missed, well hiding them didnt help now did it?
If the games on sale it might be worth a try, but if you ar elooking for with some depth its a solid, meh.

Great commentary on the current treatment of mental health and how capitalism handles it.

nicely made game but to fair at the beggining i was a bit sceptical and found it kinda boring...the time seemed to fly by so fast even with using some other devices and i almost never was able to finish more than one person...after playing longer the game sucked me in and i started to like it more...although i would have some regrets if i bought it for full price

This game feels extremely lackluster - needlessly difficult with upgrades that seem either pointless or poorly explained. It's easily my least favorite deduction-style game. It's also far more pricey than it's competitors.
I'd recommend skipping it and opting for Papers Please, That's Not My Neighbor, or Death and Taxes instead.
