City of Gangsters Reviews

The game is pretty deep. A lot of ground covered in this game versus other Mafia, Prohibition type games. While there is the concept of, "Killing" as with multiple type of Mafia games, this one, actually gives an, "ACTION" rather than a cut-scene, or any type of actual visual violence. However, this game is very in-depth for Alcohol, from possibly making the Grape Concentrate from actual grapes, to making of wine, or bringing it a few steps further. Very good in that regard. Next the economy, while slow starting up front, it does move along, and get a TON better within a year or two. Really pay attention to a LOT of the literature that others have created, they did it, because there is SO much in this game to worry about, to do, and to watch. Fronts, to properties, to peddling your alcohol, or even getting resources to make the actual alcohol. While I know many frown upon cheating, there are ways to do so, and until one is secure in their CITY OF GANGSTERS know-how, I would recommend either finding different ways to do so, or even just really pay attention to ALL that literature as I mentioned earlier. There are videos out there, I don't have patience for them, I could read faster than most videos play, besides, the videos I watched to help me, didn't answer any particular questions I had, and sometimes, brought up new ones, (other information I hadn't previously known). This game is great, and in my personal opinion, it is one of the best games in about 20 years.

kind of disappointing. I wanted a game about gangsters not a logistics game with a gangster coat of paint. It is all about supply lines and then using mechanics to either interfere with other's or defend your own. as a mob game it was really disappointing.
