The first two arcs are kinda boring and slow, but from the third arc to the end it's straight up peak. The story is great, you unlock all the important game mechanics by the end of the second arc, so the gameplay is great from there till the end. If you played dynasty warriors or any other koei tecmo game and didn't like it, I still recommend playing this. The game is just great. Combat is fun, fast and stylish, while still not straying too far from persona gameplay, The characters are all fun to play as and have movesets that fit their personalities. The story is on-par with the original P5 and the social segments are great, although they have been moved from optional side content to the main story. The only parts I didn't like were the first two arcs cause they're lighter on story, the gameplay is far more shallow here due to not having cooking and side quests which give you more stuff to do and just make the game seem bigger. These arcs are also very over-tutorialised. There's a lot of walking for 5 seconds, only to then stop and listen to the characters explain a mechanic or objective that you really could have figured out on your own, or at the very least doesn't require the entire game to stop to tell you. Other than those first like 12-15 hours the game is great. I should also mention that this game can be quite challenging if you play on the harder difficulties and requires an understanding of both the action and RPG elements of the combat system. If you liked the original P5 you should definetly play this game too.

Persona 5 Strikers is a satisfying and entertaining follow-up to its predecessor which successfully builds upon everything which made Persona 5's story so engrossing. The Phantom Thieves' individual characterizations and their story arcs are developed even further, over the course of a whirlwind main story full of action and excitement. The real-time combat system takes some getting used to, it's a big departure from the first game, but it's a lot of fun once you've got the basics down. The new characters are all unique, adding further diversity to the Thieves' lineup, and the story maintains consistent stakes throughout which will keep you engaged. If you liked Persona 5 and you want more of the Phantom Thieves, you absolutely need to play this game.

I loved P5R and i love the combat in this game. I had originally played it on Switch just before going on vacation so the aspect of joining the Phantom Thieves on vacation was really fun. Recently I got the itch to play the game again and relive the story once more. This game is 100% better with a controller over the keyboard and despite my favorite detective not being in it, I'd happily play it over and over again. As of writing I just started NG+ on Merciless and it's a different beast. The difficulty spike is insane compared to Merciless in Royal being barely different from the regular difficulty. That level 2 Pixie and Jack-O'_Lantern in the tutorial are now level 87~. Dire Shadows are more like Souls Bosses if you're not prepared for them, good luck not getting one shot. Playtime Hours, how long you can expect the game to be if it's not your first rodeo 40 hours to beat the game paying attention to story. Time progresses with the story so you dont have to wait a thousand years for something to happen and the boss fights are pretty easy if you bring the right teammate 50 if you do all the quests along the way 60 to finish what you started. I would say "Grind to completion" here but honestly it's much easier to grind completion once you start a merciless run since 100%ing the compendium would take so much longer without the xp boost from being able to fight higher level enemies out the gate. 100+ if you want to suffer with the Merciless difficulty, but in order to even unlock it you must do all boss refights and their EX refight quests along with The Reaper. Getting the last handful of achievments is a lot easier here since you can quickly get anyone you didnt originally use to level 70 off the first few enemies in the Jail. Your main team may be around level 80-85 but anyone you didnt use may be stuck in the level 60 limbo. Dire Shadows also don't respawn in regular difficulties but on Merciless they will and are a fantastic source of BOND XP. Grinding points to fill out the last 5 personas in the compendium may be a huge pain in the rear before you get to the next Jail due to it requiring personas that were originally level 20-30. Since everything is at a higher level, it's more worth it to just grab those little guys as you progress the story while saving your points on the higher level guys that only need 2-5 levels. I hope you'll enjoy this game just as much as I have. Remember to fuse Personas along the way unless you're like me and decide that Arsene is clearly the best (I never got rid of him, he's been at level 34 the entire game and yes I'm still using him)

A much shorter game than its prequel, and lacking a lot of what made the first game unique. It feels more like a traditional Action-RPG, and the PC port is bad, especially if you play it with a mouse and keyboard. I did not enjoy the combat because of it - having one button do more things is a restriction that makes sense on consoles, NOT on PC, but at least playing on the easiest difficulty made it bearable. All that being said, the Mask progression is MUCH smoother, the additional commissions add some diversity to the game, and being able to go back to "dungeons" you've already finished any time you want was a great change! It's a bummer that we don't get to spend as much time with individual characters, and even more so that anyone but the Phantom Thieves is left out of the game - no hot nurses and teachers, sadly :( What's also sad is that your choices don't carry over, naturally, so even if you got a girlfriend in the prequel, it won't matter :( BUT the new characters they introduced are nice, and Sophia is just the cutest little A.I. ! It's a fun game IF you want to spend more time with the cast, but keep in mind that it's MUCH shorter, even doing all the side quests and grinding a bit won't get you more than 35-40 hours, so I recommend buying it on sale, since the asking price of 60 Euros seems a bit steep, especially when compared to the amount of content the prequel offers for the same price point.

I recently got into the series with P5R. I found myself entranced with the characters and world and played the game to completion and jumped right in to this game to get more of the characters i found myself loving so much. This game gave me that and a little more but unfortunately its pacing is very slow to start and it has many gaps if you try to do every quest and farm for items. And boy will you be farming for items. I can't express enough how much i loved this game but it is very different and unlike the first i dont think ill be dumping hours into multiple playthroughs. Onto person 4

This game gives Haru 3 times as much character than P5 or P5R. If you like the Persona gameplay mixed with a beat-em-up gameplay loop this game is for you. Forehead ftw.
WARNING THIS GAME SUCKS ON MOUSE AND KEYBOARD.
Persona 5 Strikers is a fun game that unfortunately had not been adapted for mouse and keyboard in any way. This is evidenced by the bizarre default control scheme (how's pressing two buttons on the opposite sides of a keyboard to activate showtime?), on-screen prompts always prioritizing keyboard bindings over mouse buttons, the fact that it's impossible to figure out how to break out of a stun when using mouse and keyboard, dysfunctional lock-on system that changes lock-on target the moment you touch the mouse and, most damaging of all, the absolutely ridiculous camera controls with inverse mouse acceleration that cannot be disabled. That's right in Persona 5 Strikers the speed with which you move the mouse is inversely proportional to your camera speed, meaning that the slowest and tiniest of mouse movements will make your camera twitch erratically, while the fastest flicks will barely move it at all. I wish someone was there to warn me about this before I bought the game. Seriously, guys, if you're releasing the game on PC, could you put at least the barest amount of effort into making sure that it's actually playable on the most popular control device on that platform? You'll probably enjoy the game if you have the gamepad to play it, but if you don't you're better off skipping this one.

Like most Persona spin offs, this game is good, but not quite worth the price. Amazing music, lovely continuation of the plot (though it's based off of vanilla, not royal, so anything to do with Maruki, Akechi, or Yoshizawa isn't touched on), and decent gameplay, but it is still a spin off. I'd wait for it to go on sale.

Persona 5 Strikers isn’t just a spinoff it’s a true sequel that brings back the Phantom Thieves for another road trip full of heart, rebellion, and flashy combat. Unlike the turn-based battles of Persona 5, this game leans into real-time action with some RPG mechanics still intact. The story feels like a natural continuation, giving each character new moments to shine while introducing memorable new faces like Sophia and Zenkichi. That said, Strikers has its fair share of criticism. Some fans dislike the shift from turn-based combat to a Musou-style system, calling it repetitive or chaotic. Others feel the game lacks the depth of the original, especially with the removal of daily life mechanics and social links. The story, while engaging, doesn’t hit as hard as Persona 5 for some players. But if you go in knowing it’s more of a road trip action RPG than a full-fledged Persona experience, you’ll still find a lot to enjoy.
