out of my 350+ games with AAA+ games I decided to play this and did not regret it, gives me those get-a-better-weapon-to-win vibes and I love it

YRek is a game based on the turok vibe like the nintendo 64 games.
The combat is the name of the game here; you are always looking for ammo and health to get thru the world.
The variety of the weapons of the game is really good.
There are some really good moments with mini bosses and some big boss fights.
The Katana is one of my favorite weapons since you can slice every enemy on the game.
If you want to kill some dudes and dinosaurs I would recommend this game.

If you like classic FPS games, this is for you.
Awesome soundtrack.
Great reward for exploring.
It is nice that every enemy attacks you on a different manner.
Fun platforming.
P.S. Don't skip the tutorial.

For an indie title, it fares alright.
Though, the core experience could use quite a lot of polishing for it to be considered an awesome experience.
If you're looking for some janky challenge, this game has few obstacles to throw at you but fair warning that the game is unoptimized. The game loads pretty much full levels and landscapes, straining the computer when it seems like it really shouldn't. The graphics don't quite warrant the amount of power needed to run something of this caliber in my opinion.
Levels are quite open, and the controls make a few accommodations in the vein of a short sprint and extended long jump, though at best it feels like a hastily tweaked Unity FPS template. The weapons performing on par with that of an asset flip. (Even the bow has a magazine mechanic and often I forget I have to "reload" it!)
The AI is pretty bare bones, but can make short work of the player if they're not careful, in spite of their primitive behavior. (Flying dinos are the bane of my existence in this game as they spawn overhead and out of sight. They eat your health rapidly as soon as they come within melee range. And they shoot fireballs! How? Why?! Haha)
Platforming challenges are hit and miss. Testing your patience as you clear wide jumps that have a lot of setting up to get to. I've found myself seeking anyway to circumvent them by cheesing the level geometry. (Only succeeded once or twice.)
Well, sums up my thoughts on it. Have yet to beat the game as it is tied to a stock-life mechanic and the second dungeon world hits you in the knees with a sleugh of death traps.
I'm under the assumption that a single person made this game so I commend the effort that the game even runs remotely like it should. Been wanting more dino shooters overall.
I give it a thumbs up for effort. But play at your own risk, if just for the sake you get to shoot a bunch of dinos and fight a giant T-Rex. Other than that, it's kinda meh.
