Just like the others slow pace but still great

Tiny troopers used to be fun clone of Cannon Fodder, now its just a twin stick shooter with lame comedy. The controls can't be changed and the camera can't be rotated so things block your view. It also contains crappy console port stuff like holding the interact to fill up a bar before you finally do the action.

Don't recommend this game. The game progress does not save. Every time the game is exited and relaunched to play, you end up starting at the very beginning. All your progress is lost. I had installed the game and played for a few hours only to find that out when returning to play the next day.

Bought this stuff to play with my 6 years old kid. And we both were just bored with clunky controls, so bland and soulless art direction and weird progressions system. Probably it could be great mobile phone game for some kid to kill some time. But there was zero enjoyment in playing this game on gamepads. After the first hour I just should have to refund it, but made a mistake by giving it a chance.

I had high hopes for this game when it got announced, it was a blast to play when it came but this game hasn't gotten an update. Nothing new hell there were talks of a zombie mode like in spec ops but ig not. Also the online mode is basically dead and is just a mess at times to connect with others. It was a promising game that for sure. The controls are tad bit awkward but once you get it down its alright though i wish there was an option to play by just clicking the mouse like the Microsoft Store releases of Tiny Troopers 1 and 2 which are still up and are free better than having to pay for a 10 dollar half ass port its a port thats for sure but there are some visual glitches and its in a 4:3 aspect ratio which why hell some of the comic cut-scenes don't even fit on the screen so that cool. Anyways point is this game is alright but just a cash grab on a series that had a decent following. Don't bother playing this game its not worth it and neither is the digital deluxe version and if you want to play Joint Ops XL just download the releases of Tiny Troopers 1 and 2 on the Microsoft Store its much better than whatever XL is

Game is really boring to me tbh, it felt like a phone game for little kids. It's also a very dead game, there's like zero public games on the server list. I don't really see this game ever becoming a thing unless they revamp everything about it. At its current state its just not my cup of tea. I do not suggest anyone to get this game. Maybe might be fun running thru main story with a buddy but that's pretty much it.

I have played all of the Tiny Troopers games and this brand new installment in the series BARELY deserves a positive review, mostly because the game disappointed me big time. PROS - Visually pleasing (a clear graphics upgrade from previous titles, with better models and diverse environments *not only one*); - There are indoor levels and outdoor 'in-motion' levels (with helicopters, boat or train *but you do not control them*); - One or two minor bugs in the entire play-through (flawless performance overall); - Very well structured upgrade system (especially for secondary weapons and special abilities). Neither Pros, nor Cons - Story is represented by 6 chapters, but frankly the story does not immerse the player in any aspect (you can ignore it and skip cut-scenes, it does not matter); - The jokes/comedy is bland at best and the voice acting is cringe (just like the other games *being a matter of taste, I will not consider this a con*). CONS - Primary weapons are boring, especially if they are not fully upgraded; - AI path-finding is terrible and getting stuck in invisible things happens (just like in the other games); - Game is grindy and very repetitive in terms of content; - WHERE ARE THE HUMVEE MISSIONS? WHERE ARE THE MISSIONS IN WHICH YOU NEED TO DESTROY LIVE TANKS? WHERE IS ZOMBIE MODE? So instead of adding new types of content (modes/missions/etc), you decided to cut content that was present in the older titles. Not a great move. Buy when it is at least at 50% off.

I have played every Tiny Troopers and this is far and away the best one, hands down. Huge improvements to absolutely every aspect. Maps are much bigger and more interesting. Objectives have tons more variation. Lots more upgrades. Trooper customization. Lots of enemy variation. Controls are more responsive. Action is faster paced. Couch co-op and online play. The (intentionally) cheesy scenes between missions are a nice addition and occasionally very funny.

Tiny Troopers are back! For context, I played the majority of the campaign on very hard from the start, which resulted in my having max upgrades around Chapter 4 (out of 6). I also did full exploration on every map as I went along to grab every collectible. Pros: - Good humor in story/dialogue. - Fun &, farther into the campaign, challenging gameplay. - Enough environment & enemy variety where I never felt later zones were the same stuff reskinned. - Fair amount of character head/body customization. - Online co-op worked well, just make sure you select the best server region for your connection. Cons: - The only one that comes to mind is difficulty balance on one mission where some enemies spawned early & made achieving the two simultaneous objectives impossible on ‘very hard.’ Progression was never blocked as lowering the difficulty has innocents take less damage. (I mentioned this on the discussion board & I presume it will be addressed in a future update.) Observations: - I found even ‘normal’ to be quite easy. I’d recommend starting off on ‘hard,’ if you’re decent at twin-stick shooters. - Maxed flamethrower is busted/overpowered. It ignores cover so you’re melting entire groups (or even towers) from a safe position, even at crazy distances like through a mountain or across a large gap. - Your squad aren’t always the best at dodging with you out of a mine’s explosion range. - In trying to find all the paths on each level, sometimes (a handful of times in total throughout the campaign) I would wander between objects/barriers I probably was not intended to cross. I never became stuck, which was nice. - Having to restart progression on a squad member after they die in a mission objectively makes sense, but it was a little annoying feeling like I was wasting points upgrading them. As a result, I mostly played squad-less until I unlocked the Reinforcements skill (revive squad) to pop that before exiting a mission. (This also may not have been an issue at all if I weren’t playing as difficult as I could make it.) - Enemy voice lines can play after they’re killed. IMO, a line should be interrupted with a death sound (“ugh”?) when applicable. - Hearing “Shoot at will!” “Which one’s Will?” was fun at first but hearing it a lot can be not so fun. (To be fair, I marathoned this game in 14 hours over 2 days, so maybe I just played too much too fast.) Wants for this or the next game: Maybe a fun easter egg zone like a “There is no cluck level” after collecting all the dog tags in the game. Currently the only reward for doing so is the achievement. Maybe a silly main weapon from it to use throughout the game? Maybe it gets harder until you die? Overall, I’m happy with the 14 hours I got out of this game to hit 100% completion. I could still fight for leaderboard positioning on each level & try out the hardest difficulty going forward. More Tiny Troopers is never a bad thing.
