What a game. I feel like I would remember the first playthrough for ages. Love the story, puzzle, scenery, music, everything falls perfectly in place. Really recommend to play at least once

I love the grimey setting and the whole storytelling around mental disorder and religion. I am def gonna recommend this to everyone who loves doing puzzles and horror stories. This feels like something A24 would make a movie out of. If you know, you know. Pros: - It was such amazing storytelling - "Prayer" puzzle was so well done - The puzzles were good and I feel like most ppl would find them enjoyable and not too hard - Voice acting 10/10! the Devil's voice reminded me of an old horror puzzle game called 7th guest Cons: - The "prayer" puzzle wasn't used enough - Small glitches/bugs but it is an indie game - Kinda wish it was longer (4-5h)

Indika is story driven narrative adventure which tells the tale of a deeply troubled young nun, Indika, who entered the nunnery, not entirely of her own volition. While it's not expressly conveyed what her specific diagnosis is, Indika clearly struggles from social anxiety, delusions, and paranoia. These delusions present themselves as distortions in reality, or escape fantasies. Notably, she has the voice of the devil inside her, which narrates her darkest thoughts, and torments her about her decisions. As she travels, she meets a cast of strange characters, including the young rogue Illya, who seeks a relic to save his infected arm. Together the unlikely pair of a criminal seeking salvation, and a nun struggling against temptation set out to find the relic. The gameplay of Indika is largely a walking simulator, with heavy surreal puzzle segments. Indika's delusions cause her to sometimes distort the world around her, allowing for traversal not normally possible. One major theme is that Indika seems to perceive a "gamified" version of reality, where acts of piety are rewarded with a gamer score. In fact, she has a dedicated button for praying, which makes for some tongue and cheek moments throughout the game, where you can pray and earn gamer points. Between chapters, we often learn about Indika's backstory, which is romanticized in 2D minigames, providing a variety of different gameplay styles across the relatively brief game. Indika is a hard game for me to flat out recommend to others. If you're someone who likes walking sims, I think this is something that can appeal to fans of that genre. However, if you're hoping for high action gameplay, I'd suggest looking elsewhere. Indika also touches on some very grim themes and subjects, which may not make the game generally appropriate for all ages. When Indika is at its strongest is when she's debating philosophy with the voice in her head, as she wanders through a surrealist version of an impoverished 19th century Russia. In those moments, I found the experience captivating, much like watching a movie.

INDIKA is brilliant. It's setting and visuals are fascinating, and the game somehow manages to blend the dark and gloomy soviet aesthetic with whimsy retro game elements and it's perfect. INDIKA's story is a narrative that cannot be properly told in any format other than a video game. Similarly to "Her Story", it is so clever about how the game mechanics affect the message and the way the story is perceived by the viewer. I loved it

A bit pretentious but I liked it. 2025 is not the year to be going "imagine if traditional good was bad and traditional evil was good" nor a good year to be all "nothing has meaning" or any of the iterations. Even then, dialogs, art direction, everything is very well polished. Very solid buy, although a bit overpriced considering the game can be completed faster than 5 hours on your first try.

The game is incredibly atmospheric and deeply chthonic. It tells a unique story of truly unusual people in a truly unusual visual setting. I absolutely love the developer's attention to even the smallest details—it feels like they consulted architects to realistically depict an old Orthodox country and its buildings. That said, there are some minor issues with the interface and background animations. The one thing that really bothered me was the tiny text in the main menu, button tips, and item descriptions.

Intrigued by the game presentation, stayed for the game actual quality. INDIKA is a walking sim in and all, but it contains enough puzzle and platformer in it that it's kind of harsh to even call it walking sim. It's a really beautiful game, with a crazy but enjoyable story wrapped in a really solid and polished experience. The price might be too expensive for some, but I would consider it like buying a really good movie since the cutscene alone felt like watching a really good art house movie.

Truly incredible game, bought it the week it came out on trending tab because it looked so unique, but waited a while to play it. Unique story with great voice acting, presentation and cinematography. Not an action game, more puzzle and walking sim with some light action set pieces. I was never bored playing INDIKA, i was always wondering what the story is working toward. INDIKA will make you think with its questioning and maybe laugh at times with its intentional absurdity. You will be thinking about this game for a while after you finish. The only genuine criticism i would say is that the price is a bit high for a game that lasts for about 4 - 5 hours on a first play through will practically no replay value. Despite that, if you love gaming as an art form, you should experience this game for yourself at least once. Solid 9/10 I wish all game developers tried this hard :)

Short storytelling experience w/ innovative puzzles; requires average reflexes. Pros: * Really well-done worldbuilding and voice acting. * Puzzles were usually simple-with-an-obscure-twist. (ie: *headscratches*, then "Ohh, now I get it!") * Great puzzle mechanic of psychosis & prayer effecting reality. (sadly, only used twice) Cons: * 4 hrs long. Meh: * Character development could have been more explicit (lots of awkward pauses; in-character, but still), but was interesting. * Contains a few chase scenes and minigames that require moderate reflexes. (so, I died several times :P) TL;DR: If you don't mind it being really short, and love storytelling puzzlers, 8/10; else, avoid.
