SF6 looks great, plays smooth, and has strong content for both casual and competitive players. Modern controls make it easier for newcomers sometimes a bit too easy, and yeah, some players definitely get carried by it. Throw loops and balance still need work, but the core gameplay is solid. Great job Capcom

Capcom ignores feedback. The game remains stale, the same poke into slime rush combo, every character works the same. Throw loops remain since the game released. Fixes are scarce and irrelevant. Tiresome.

Painfully Grindy Game World Tour Story -short af (just doin pointless things here and there) However for the love for Mai Made me but this game One more main thing Capcom is greedy as hell they have made those skins and passes pricey as hell it won't be inviting for new players to investing in this game

It's too late for Capcom to lose my money, because I purchased this game at launch and have bought the season passes. However, maybe this can help someone in the future. For some temporal context, I am writing this review after seeing the announcement that Capcom is adding the "virtual kpop idol" Naevis to the list of voiced commentators. The problem is that Naevis is a product of SM Entertainment, and was designed, created, and voiced using Generative AI. I understand that this is likely not going to be adding a language model directly into the game, I am just as equally unhappy with pre-recorded/pre-generated voice lines being added. There are a number of amazing REAL commentators that could have been added to this groundbreaking feature, but Capcom has instead decides to overlook dozens (if not hundreds) of amazing talents for the sake of a quick buck. Generative AI does not reflect the themes, the sport, or the community of this game or ANY of the FGC. I fucking hate to say it, but I'm just going to uninstall SF6 and refuse to play/stream it. It's my (admittedly lofty) hope that others will join in letting their voices be heard through this review section.

Street Fighter 6 is without a doubt the ABSOLUTE BEST fighting game for Casuals/Beginners. SINGLE-PLAYER CONTENT: Using fun as a teaching method It offers an absurd amount of single-player content compared to the games in the genre. Not only does it have Versus, and Arcade - but also comes with World Tour, which is surprisingly deep and fun, letting you explore different regions, meet the characers, do Quests, side-quests, mini-games (that teach you fundamentals of the game), while also creating and customizing your character and move-set with rpg mechanics. Not only that, in Season 2 SF6 released a new mode, which you can access it by going into the Hub - this mode is basically ranked matches, but against a learnig AI; allowing you to grow ranks in single-player, while also building up your confidence, and reactions; it also gives tips on how to improve in the end of every match. This game loves to teach you by simply letting you have fun. MODERN CONTROLS: Again, this game allows you to jump instantly into the fun by having modern controls, with assisted combos, and one-button special moves, while also allowing you to use the original motions inside modern controls if you wish so. This is a great way to make you familiar with the characters, and it is totally viable in ranked matches, while also slowly helping you to became a better player. You might even end up switching to Classic Controls, once you get the hang of the game. Don't let people tell you which one is better, use the one you feel comfortable the most. ROSTER: SF6, in my opinion has an incredible Roster, the only two downsides are that 1 - DLC is expensive (and Capcom doesn't allow upgrading the vanilla version of the game to the fighters edition, you will need to buy the game twice); 2 - We only get 4 characters a year, and we don't get too many costumes, although there are mods if you're interested. CONCLUSION: SF6 is a game that allows you to just sit and have fun, instantly, no matter your skill level. It has tons of Single-Player content, and it uses a lot of it to teach you the basics. SF6 is inviting, alluring - if you are a beginner, it will hold you dearly in its arms, and slowly make you a great player. It is totally worth it, and no doubt the BEST MODERN FIGHTING GAME out there. I recommend waiting for Fighters Edition to go on a sale, and getting it then; because this game is also really expensive.

Beyond the usual FGC nitpicking, this is THE standard-bearer for the franchise, in terms of quality, polish, gameplay, and accessibility. All that said, why give Ryu a railgun????
