March 2022 review:
Bought on a big sale to play with friends but it's VERY buggy
Main menu is broken, it has broken text and you have no idea what you're selecting.
After getting punched once the game breaks and everyone becomes invincible for some reason.
The controls give up midway during the match and you're stuck spinning in circles forever
Bugs I found:
- When you open and start typing in the "Feedback menu" thing (which is supposed to send feedback to the dev), the game still registers inputs on the main menu. This means:
1. If you press "R" while typing your feedback, it send you back to the main menu and closes the feedback window, meaning you have to type everything again (And you also can't type words that have the "R" letter in them)
2. You can get yourself in a match by accident with the ai while typing
- When playing with friends this rarely happens, but if you do a 1v1 against the AI, and you press space a couple of times to throw punches, then stop pressing space, sometimes you and the AI becomes invincible and do not take any damage. This means no one will ever win and you need to return to the main menu manually.
- When you get downed, apparently you should be able to get up before a 10 count and keep playing. However this feature is not very clear because once you get downed, a bar quickly starts going down. If you don't start spamming space you immediately lose when said bar reaches 0. I think it would work better to, instead of a countdown going from 10 to 0, make a countdown from 1 to 10, and if the player isn't able to fill their "consciousness bar" in these 10 then they lose. But then make it so if the bar gets completely depleted, you don't immediately lose.
- If you go in a lobby with 1 AI, chose your characters and wait for the "Ready?" text to appear, and then try to add another AI player, then your cursor goes up to infinity and disappears, breaking the game
- The default language is set to "Bird" in the settings menu. This means all the text in the game is glitched out. At first I thought the main menu was bugged and the game was broken, but then I figured out you can go into options and set the main language to "English" which fixes everything. I get this is meant as a joke, but please make it so the default language is always English when the player first opens the game, otherwise it becomes very hard to navigate.
Suggestions for the future:
- AI Update:
1. Let's you set AI difficulties to "Easy" "Normal" or "Hard" for every individual AI you have playing with you
- Combat settings:
1. Change how long you have to get up during a knockdown (?)
2. Change how many times each fighter can be knocked down in a single round
3. Number of rounds
Conclusion:
Over all buy this game if it's on sale (I bought for 66% off) and if you don't mind an unfinished product. Otherwise, wait for the big update that's coming out. At least the dev hasn't given up on this project, and I hope he doesn't just disappear.

Edit: Unfortunately, I am changing my rating to a negative one, since the developers have gone radio silent and the one dev who was active has gone silent too.
I played this with a friend via remote play and enjoyed it a lot. There are some major bugs at the moment that hampered the play, namely with controller detection. Glitches such as the volume control reverting back to full volume in the middle of a match, sudden death rounds not allowing anyone to take damage, or being able to bring up the main menu during arcade mode and blocking up the screen, these are a few examples.
This game fills a niche that I really like and is cheaply priced. If you do not like unfinished early access games, then you should wait for more development, but I've gotten the game to be able to provide more feedback to the developers. I can give this game a modest recommendation for now.
