NOTE: This review was written during the first two weeks of early access and the game is still changing and progressing. Review: Art & animation: currently one of the biggest selling points of this game is it's visuals that bring the characters to life. game play & mechanics(Still in development): I haven't really had a chance to play with other players since there is still no online or CPU yet but from what I've seen in training mode this game seems like it has a lot of potential. Fun factor: I honestly enjoyed the time I spent playing this game, even if there are still many problems and glitches that need to be fixed before this game becomes balanced. I will hold of on saying anything else since we are still very far from the release date and we have lots of room for improvement & development, but I'd still like to say that I greatly support this project and can't wait to see where it goes. (I will hopefully update my review as we near the official release date and as the game updates and changes)

The tl;dr is basically the asking price is too much for what little the game has to offer. Not recommended in this state. Lets start with the positives:- The training mode is surprisingly fleshed out, has all the basic stuff in order to have the minimum amount of tools in training mode. It lacks position resets, cpu state ( human, cpu, dummy, recording , etc. ) But overall its not that bad of a mode. ...and thats it for the good stuff. Onwards to the mixed feelings:- OST is pretty amazing although there's 1 for each character and 1 for character select totaling of 3 for now. There is no sounds on the main menu so I didn't know that until I had to turn up the volume only to be blasted by the ear piercing sound effect when I entered the options menu. The fighting itself didn't suit my taste because its inspired by guilty gear but this is my opinion and I can respect others that enjoy this. Both characters have a limited secondary resource bar that does not recover during the round, if this trend continues to all future characters it might be hard to balance. Versus being only local and no online ( online is MAYBE planned post launch ). At least it doesn't have an online mode that doesn't work like many other fighters. Oh boy now its time for the negatives:- The only controller that I could get it to work with was a 360 controller despite it saying it has full controller support, my other controllers work with Xinput and this game doesn't support it. Lack of characters, 2 characters for the asking price of 25$ is too much, yes according to the development they will add 2 more but that still doesn't excuse it at its current state. Lack of modes, there's only versus and training mode. No single player of any sorts, options is barebones only allowing you to change the bgm and sfx volume. No graphical options, no resolution settings, only fullscreen mode is available. Supers looks really clunky and to be frank, ugly and missing sound effects. The whole camera zoom in, game freezing, camera panning is really jarring that disrupts the flow of the match and makes my eyes dizzy. Whats wrong with just giving a flash with a really minor game freeze then the super executes like in older fighting games? (e.g KoF, Skullgirls, street fighter alpha etc. ) There's only 1 level for now, having a training mode stage I guess could be easy to add since its just an empty blueprint stage model without any textures but I don't know if its that simple to do. DLC already announced to add 4 characters post launch, now the game having 8 characters does seem like a nice product overall but the price by then is going to be expensive since the base price is already a lot to ask for. I understand that this is early access but I am reviewing this game based on its asking price which is too high than what it has to offer, it would be an entirely different story if the game was like 10$ that will include the release of a single player mode and all 8 characters that are going to be added. If it was at that price I would gladly pay and support it at that price since indie fighters are far and between compared to other genres. I have refunded this game and will keep an eye out if the game will change for the better. I will switch back to positive if the promises have been met and this comes at a better price.
