This game gives me anxiety... I go 'save' my progress every 5 second like I vacuum an inch of blood spill on the floor then I run for my life to the save button.

It's like I'm flipping through the pages of an art collage/scrapbook. ---{ Gameplay }--- ☑ Very good ☐ Good ☐ It's just gameplay ☐ Mehh ☐ Watch paint dry instead ☐ Just don't Stealth-action with a unique premise. Each of the 4 characters have their own unique kit and playstyle. No character gave me the feeling of "Uh, not this guy", they're all equally interesting and fun to play. ---{ Audio }--- ☐ Eargasm ☑ Very good ☐ Good ☐ Not too bad ☐ Bad ☐ I'm now deaf Each character has their own wonderful theme to listen to. Sound design is top notch as well, from the blood-sliding to the satisfying noise of a corpse landing in the trunk of your car. ---{ Audience }--- ☐ Kids ☑ Teens ☑ Adults ☐ Grandma Blood and death. Each level, I start off thinking "Damn, how the hell am I supposed to deal with this mess?!" which slowly changes to "Ok, ok, this is manageable." There are multiple difficulty levels, although they don't change that much. ---{ Grind }--- ☐ Nothing to grind ☑ Only if u care about leaderboards/ranks ☐ Isn't necessary to progress ☐ Average grind level ☐ Too much grind ☐ You'll need a second life for grinding Just some achievements and that's pretty much it. ---{ Story }--- ☐ No Story ☐ Some lore ☑ Average ☐ Good ☐ Lovely ☐ It'll replace your life Not the main attraction of the game, but it's enough. Each character has their own backstory, viewable in cutscenes. Dialogue choices exist, but don't affect anything in the long-term. Game has 1 ending. ---{ Game Time }--- ☐ Long enough for a cup of coffee ☑ Short ☐ Average ☐ Long ☐ To infinity and beyond 2 playthroughs of the game took me not even 20 hours. I can't say that I'd recommend this sequel. Visually, it is very good and acts as a lovely evolution from the style of the first game. However, it falls flat on its face when it comes to the gameplay. Despite being able to save constantly after every trip to the cleaner's car, it still feels like I am tackling the game for a football/soccer ball, and keep in mind that I'm not very good at sports so I'm often sent back to the last point I saved. Despite having their own abilities that should seem like how you should be completing the level, trying to get the most out of it resulted in me feeling like I was getting punished. Doing an action that should certainly knock out a guard would either not do it at all, or there's someone viewing them, creating a web of people who can see each other. The cramped nature of the [spoiler]prison[/spoiler] level, mostly around the [spoiler]cells[/spoiler], is where the gameplay felt rockiest. I love the idea of a [spoiler]prison level, especially considering where the story was going at that point and trapping enemies behind lockable doors feels like a relief, but they really seem to not want the player to do that. Serial Cleaners Review: So Close, Yet So Far Serial Cleaners has such a great concept: cleaning up the crimes of others. But It fucks up and falls short of its potential. The Core Issue: Gameplay The idea of cleaning up crime scenes is intriguing, but the way it is executed makes for such a boring repetitive, and annoying game. You're cleaning up crimes while the cops are still at the scene. This makes no sense narratively, but I understand it adds a challenge. The problem is that this "challenge" isn't a test of skill but one that slowly drives you to boredom. You're left wondering whether it's worth your time rather than feeling engaged. Character Abilities: Missed Opportunities The game introduces different characters, each with unique gimmicks that are supposed to enhance gameplay. Unfortunately, These gimmicks either suck or fail in being useful: The Cleaner: Can slide on blood inorder to trip cops up, in a cleaning game where this becomes irrelevant once you clean up any straight blood trails. He can also wrap bodies in body bags to prevent blood trails when dragging them, which is mildly useful but somebodies don't even drip blood. The Hacker: Can crawl through vents and hack systems, they can also take small objects of evidence into these vents. Vent crawling is handy, but hacking feels sad: you can temporarily disable things, and that's about it, you cant turn off alarms or fully shut off lights so hacking truly becomes a short-sighted gimmick The Graffiti Artist: Can distract cops by writing "F*** the Police." Can jump and push objects to block areas. I have to ask why. in a stealth game, one where the point is to not get caught, why would I bother jumping a fence. The Butcher: Can cut up bodies and dump them. a simple and boring ass character that only leads to more work than needed. Despite their gimmicks, all characters share one horrible flaw: the loud vacuum cleaner. While understandable as most vacuums are loud, why on earth would is it in a stealth game, what about a mop or something more quieter. I'd rather trade a slower method of cleaning than a loud easily bearable vacuum. Most abilities only seem useful once you're already caught, which fucks the purpose of stealth entirely. The Cops: Annoying, Not Challenging The cops are more frustrating than a challenge. In a stealth game, where the goal is usually to avoid being caught altogether Serial Cleaners says fuck that and makes avoiding detection feel nearly impossible. A Better Direction: Time-Based Levels The game’s design could have been vastly improved by making the levels timed instead of having cops on-site during cleanup. Rushing to clean up the scene before a deadline would add genuine tension and make character abilities more meaningful. A hacker temporarily turning lights off in order to sneak past cameras and alarms. Engaging. An artist vaulting over obstacles in order to access areas the other characters aren't able to reach, Engaging. The main cleaner guy wrapping bodys up and sliding on blood to transport faster, maybe some work but its def better. Finally cutting up bodies in order to make get rid of bodies fast, allowing him to carry two bodies or body parts, kinda fun. Final Verdict As it stands, Serial Cleaners is hard to recommend. If you don’t mind playing a "stealth" game where you're forced into frustrating situations and guaranteed to get caught, you might find some enjoyment. Otherwise, I’d suggest skipping it altogethe
