(my time with the app is way larger then whats show on steam)
TLDR: came for one thing and stayed for features that arent even listed.
The storepage doesnt make the app any justice.
For starters its like Legend Keeper, World Anvil and similars but whitout subscriptions fees. that alone means a resounding YES, RECOMENDED.
But i was surprised to find it already goes beyond that and aims to be much more- theres already all the foundation to actually run games with Mythic Archive, going into the role of a Roll 20 and similars, and a extremely interesting system for automating rolls that ive never seen before; Its like the kinds of scripts/mods programers do for specific rulesets in Foundry (a virtual tabletop app) but completely adjustable in the app itself- to the point ive been able to 'program' so to speak 2 weird self-authored rulesets. All the stats, skill rolls and so on, even the more complex or multi-step.
I could be already runing games with it if the maps/images were working online (right now multiplayer isnt loading the maps for players yet if they run on the web, but would work if everyone had the app).
The most awesome thing for me so far was a wizard chargen builder- it allows to create a extremely user friendly step by step process of character creation for the players; At every step explanations and lore/pictures are possible, and all the busywork of assiging points, writing down skills or whatever a system uses can be automated wich is freaking amazing for non-veteran players (and even for veterans for speed).
Feels like how digital adaptations of famous ttrpgs (like dnd) handle character creation. Even rolling stats can be automated.
In brief the features:
-maps with markers and drawing, markers and areas(shapes) can be linked/show to articles, sheets, etc.
-The pages/articles are like a wiki, with easy hyperlinking (start typing and it matches existing pages)
--Amazing layout options and editor for the pages. Very clean, intuitive, includes columns layouts, pictures with text, tables, etc
--secrets and sharing options (ways of showing and hiding what the gm want from the players)
-Tabs for any pages(and character sheets)
-online chat, dicerolling, initiative tracker
--advanced automation/triggers that can be used in the chat but also inside the pages
-character generator step by step, fully customizable
+a very interesting way of making projects and modules- it allows to create details for a ruleset for example as 1 project, and then any number of other projects that can call information and functions from the ruleset; So it allows to make a basis like the rules and not needing to repeat or import into different campaigns
Now for the cons:
-the web version (very handy for players joining) cant show images and maps yet, only users with the app can see those.
-no line of sight, fog of war or strict grid for battlemaps yet
-no fancy extras like corkboard or relationship maps like some similars do, but similars are aparently planed
-some roughness around the edges (but surprisingly polished for me, i was expecting way less from early acess)
And the biggest one imo, to the point its almost a cardinal sin: No Documentation, nor tutorials nor any tips.
For the most part they're uneeded, the whole writing and map handling is extremely well polished, clean, responsive and intuitive...
...but the character generator and creating the events(automated rolls to advanced scripts) is up to the user to figure out. Theres examples built in and builders for most things that help the process, but even figuring those out is tricky as of yet
It all comes down to the pace of updates, the dev is focused on polishing the features and the new priorized ones before documenting- its that Early Acess experience as to be expected, theres no way of having a full documentation on the parts that are still being reworked.
The dev is very helpful on the official discord to clear any doubts and some documentation and further help may be coming soon.
Im hyped in a way i didnt expected when i bought (i tought it was just campaing/lore/maps)- the character generator and the advanced way to automate anything rules wise is already amazing- to the point that if the app was abandoned today i would still be happy simply because i never found anything that allowed that, even more so combined with all the bells and whistles of a good wiki for ttrpg (and writers too i guess).
The potential here is amazing, considering where i imagine the will app will reach this price is a steal, even more so considering the glimpses i got on what is in the works.
I wish steam allowed for review scores. It would be a solid 8+ for me as it is (considering whats missing) - and as an EA title definetly a 10. I would recomend it for being a solid non-subscription no cloud-limits full fledged wiki alone but it already outpaces most of the alternatives for being a great wiki+virtual table in one package.

This is the perfect app for world building, all data is stored locally and as it doesnt have a subscription it already puts it head and shoulders above the competition. The developer is very active over on discord and although its a little rough around the edges fixes are quick and get any problems fixed. Highly recommend!
