Huge paywall to get different players, raiders, cosmetics, etc. Stuck with the same thing over and over. Forget about playing with other players if you're new, gonna get demolished. I myself had stopped playing for quite some time, and can't remember 3/4 of the controls. Overly complicated system.

It's been downhill since Season 6 ranked personally. Skipped 7. Game is just not pulling me back in. Golden Frieza is more of a scam, and the other reworked raiders will most likely feel the same. Even if the only new raider this year is from Daima, this game is cooked.

Love this game, had alot of fun with it but bandai obviously dont care about breakers, devs dont care about breakers, players dont care about breakers soo why would i recommend if no one cares.
The concept on paper is great, the implemntation wasnt horrible either but this fucking GACHA mechanic literally is some of the worst gacha ever implemented in a game.
Say theres this skill that you could really use for your survivor like Instant transmission or double jump, sprint, etc GOOD LUCK getting them because you can potentially pull the same fucking skills in a row CONSTANTLY before you get a new skill, Oh but wait if you pull the same skill they'll give you currency to unlock an ABILITITY from a transphere (you use these (transformations) to fight back against the raider) meaning great my gohan transphere can now shoot the kamehameha instead of ki blasts, BUT you CANT buy skills with said currency because the devs knew that skills were wayyyyyyy more important than having transphere abilities. Soo what happens is you have stockpiles of ability currency because there's no point to spending it unless you REALLLLLY want a new move for you transphere which most times isnt that important..
Gameplay wise I honestly had some of the most fun just playing this game casually and IT IS VERY FUN PLAYING AS RAIDER but queue times rn really suck and bug out alot soo players barely get to play.
More than likely this game will shutdown sometime after december 2025 which i hope it doesnt but i dont see this game having much of a future with how its mishandled.

2 hour long sorry ass unneeded tutorial and when you queue with friends you will never be able to find a match, also there is no actual way to just play a custom match with your friends unless you have a full 8 player party. Camera is also terrible for some reason like it's a nintendo 64 game?

You know what's a great idea? Disabling EVERY MENU POSSIBLE and shoving people into several unwanted matches without letting them know anything about the game or mess with settings! :D And the camera messing with your controls is chef's kiss!
Seriously, I know dimps is one of the dumbest dev groups on Earth, but holy crap. This is actively and intentionally dumber than Xenoverse 2. I paid $6 for this and it was not worth the eight eggs I could've gotten instead.

Although the game has long wait times I love it. People complain about high level plays but that just shows that this game to many can be real fun. The game is real grindy which can suck but the game being fun makes up for it. The best part is normally after around 6 games you'll get raider and either have fun or get stomped.

This game had potential, a lot of it. It could have been a great alternative to the (usually) horror-themed "1 vs. many" type of games. But it fell apart in so many ways that its simply not worth it at all.
The concept is simple: 7 "survivors" vs 1 "raider". The raider player tries to defeat all survivors before they activate the "super time machine", or become strong enough (by collecting items scattered across the map) to take down the raider (by transforming, which allows the survivors to fight the raider). This concept is marred by many issues.
The main problem is with the skills you get as survivor. Almost all of them are locked behind a gacha-mechanic that is seen in many mobile games, and there are lots of skills that are clearly better than others. If you don't have these skills, you aren't winning matches as survivor unless the raider player is a brand new player.
Next is the raider balance. The starting 3 are balanced and fun to play against, but the paid ones are easily much stronger than those starting 3, with some of them having the wonderful ability to not lose the match if you "defeat" them; you just weaken their next form, but its such a minor drop in power it doesn't make a difference. All it really does is waste your transformation, allowing the "weakened" raider to easily defeat you.
Finally, the game has very bad connection issues. Its bad enough that there are so few players it takes forever to find a match, but sometimes after finding enough players for a match, the connection drops, kicking everyone out of queue. There is also a very severe bug that is ruining matches; upon loading into the setup screen after a match is found, some players on the survivor team simply won't load in, meaning the survivor team now has less than 7 players for that match. I've played a few survivor matches with 6 players, and just today I ended up in a survivor team with just THREE players (me + two others). This is simply unacceptable.
There is also the problem where if you are new and play raider, you are going to go up against high-level players who have many powerful skills, making it hard to learn the ropes as raider. Raiders can be boosted in power with skills points you get by leveling them up, but before you do, you'll be playing with a weaker than normal raider that will be torn apart by high-level players.
I've watched this game ever since it released, thinking it looked really cool, but I held off buying it because I wanted to see how it would turn out. Despite all the issues and bad reception, when this game went on sale for 75% off, I decided to finally buy it and see just how good or bad it was. It didn't take long to see that its just not worth the time. You'll get 1 fun and balanced match (that doesn't have connection issues) every 10 matches or so, which isn't enough to justify waiting several minutes for a match. Not to mention the wonderful in-game shop where the stronger raider characters and cooler looking cosmetics are only able to be bought with the TP Tokens, the premium currency that you can either grind for tiny amounts at a time, or just buy outright with real money.
Don't buy this, not even on sale. Spend your money on some other game.

This game is just slop. The matchmaking is terrible, the servers barely work, and it takes forever to actually play the game. I tried playing this game for 3 hours and in that amount of time I only got into one singular game. At one point I got "disconnected from server" 8 times in 10 minutes I counted, and got kicked all the way out to title screen. Not worth the money.

The "idea" of the game is great! The execution is abysmal. I assume people that enjoy playing games like this are very masochistic. Even if you're a Dragonball fan, just steer clear of this piece of trash. The only people working on this game that know what they're doing are the art/sound team. This game feel's like its a collection of 1 person's beliefs that they just couldn't help but force on everyone else.
Trash balance. Trash company. Hopefully the few sharks that are actually spending money on this will find another bad way to waste their cash so this game can die with 0 honor like it deserves. I can't believe they are really trying to get money for that Golden Frieza trash. It should've been a free update and added onto the Frieza we already have in game.
These have got to be some of the stupidest people working in the industry. I give this game two thumbs DOWN. I'd ask for help from the developers, but we all already know where their thumbs are............ -_-

I only bought this on sale, effectively as Xenoverse 2 DLC since it has connectivity.
I can count on one amputated hand how many matches I’ve actually played. Not for lack of trying; I’ve literally not been able to find a single multiplayer game in matchmaking yet.
I enjoyed the single player content. The Prologue and two Episodes had nice expansion of Xenoverse / Time Patrol lore, and served as good introductions for the featured characters, but that’s really all there is if you can’t find any matches.
Would not recommend.
