Mid-to-good metroidvania. It has a nice gothic easthetic and atmosphere. The game feels a bit unbalanced. It takes ages to get new abilities and weapons and then suddenly you get a bunch at once. Some game mechanics feel like an afterthought, like the "transformation" and parrying. I ended up barely using either the entire game. The controls felt sluggish to me, which leads to some frustration. Get it if it's on sale.

Lamentablemente, ningun feedback dado a través de la demo Y/o playtest les llego a los desarolladores, las voces se escuchan secas, el sonido ambiental es inexistente, y las transiciones entre menus y lugares son inmediatas, 0 sentido de inmersión.

A good metroidvania with some design flaws, but fun nevertheless.
It has a dark atmosphere that reminds me of SOTN, combat is fun, weapons are nice and the map design is good.
One big downside is that it does not have an option to disable controller vibration, so I had to use a third party app for that.

Short version:
A fantastically designed game unfortunately mired with some rather questionably-over-flowery dialogue.
The Last Faith borrows greatly from both FromSoftware games and Metroidvanias (the most direct reference being SotN). It definitely holds its own against games like Blasphemous and Salt And Sanctuary. The gameplay feels extremely tight and solid, the soundtrack is soft but hits where it needs to, and mechanics for the game are pretty much on par.
The only real downside to the game is its dialogue. Not it's story, that's fine. The spoken dialogue (voiced wonderfully, another plus) is very much saturated with more than it needs to say what it needs. Let me explain: If you intend players to understand where to go or what to do, tell them that succinctly. Don't give away too much but give SOMETHING. Some of the 'cutscene' dialogue here is so abstract and confusing that it's nearly impossible to figure out what's being shared.
Clearly this comes from the FromSoft trend of "Backstory belongs in item descriptions, not in gameplay." While that works for the Elden/Souls/Borne games, here there's not nearly enough to give clarity to what's going on. The world is very beautifully crafted but the story is very much obscured by there simply not being enough info in these descriptions to help and the characters telling you things don't say enough while paradoxically saying way too much at the same time.
I'd still recommend the game, heartily. A lovely 10-20 hour jaunt, but I'd also recommend looking up a synopsis/explanation for the lore elsewhere once you're done. Not sure it's worth nearly 30 bucks, so wait for a sale.

I didn't get this game for a while due to somewhat mixed reception and comparisons to Blasphemous, which I wasn't a fan of, but after buying it on sale I must say that Last Faith was a pleasant surprise. Game has a great atmosphere, combat is engaging and is a lot of fun, environments are varied, though some of them are much shorter than the others. The main issues I'd point out are the lack of NG+ and rather questionable map. It is usable, I've seen far worse, but LF's map can be somewhat finnicky to use, particularly when doing side content. Overall a very enjoyable title that I didn't expect to be as compelling as it ended up being.

Overall solid combat first Metroidvania which is what I was looking for in blasphemous which turned out to be a bit more platform and danger avoidance heavy. And while it was what I was looking for and I did have fun, there are some complaints I have with it, but starting with combat. You have to fight to get charges to parry, which isn't a bad idea if they were impactful. And it could have just been my build; but they were just a single auto attack worth of damage so it was just really not worth. Having more viable heavy attacks or ones that can be chained in would add some more depth to combat. Skills were impactful but not as much for bosses who tend to be on the damage sponge side; and with the mana/bullet amount you really just want to focus strength or dexterity so you can output consistent damage. Despite calling them sponges, the bosses did range a bit; but I'd say there were far more interesting/enjoyable bosses then ones that weren't.
Music was great and fit the tone, voice acting was somber and well done, but the dialogue the voice actors had to voice felt a bit disconnected, like they were talking at someone instead of with someone. Oh, and the jump felt a bit floaty. As for exploration, decently enjoyable, though I wish you had more options for icons to slap the map with for backtracking purposes because the map was actually surprisingly big. The items I missed were
3 of the unborn though 2 of them were hidden behind not just one but two fake walls while the third was just a jump I failed to notice, the lunar heart spell cause I saw quest done, 1 noble seal, and a single ammo belt upgrade.
But I wished there was a bit more to the quests, like I kinda did them but wasn't as invested after you schedule a ball for the one lady just for nothing to come of it after you tell her about it.
Lastly I got some bugged hitbox on my character for my final boss fight consistently which was a bit of a shame, but I am glad it gave me achievement for a ending I wouldn't have been able to get
because I got the items for a true ending.
Great game, i normally hate Soul likes but this game just did it for me. Great combat system, tons of weapons and options for your build. The only thing missing is a NG+ or Tower mode where you could fight waves and try different builds out.

Fun game, but 90% of the difficulty comes from bad controls, extremely sticky buttons, enemies that kill you in one hit, and lack of upgrades so that every creature is a bullet sponge (sword sponge).

A nice little Search Action game. Castlevania with a Bloodborne tinge. Beautiful art, fun combat, good exploration. What more could an old-school gamer like me want?
