its like if someone played slender and sharted on it, and then rubbed their genitals on it as seasoning
for an actual review - this game attempts to mimic slender's gameplay and atmosphere, but fails horribly in the attempt. The game depletes oxygen faster just by holding shift (and not even moving anywhere), the game doesn't properly restart until you run out of o2 (even after dying to the main enemies of the game), and the entire thing is just tedious. Why make the objective as bland as finding 20+ generators in the middle of nowhere? You would be better off watching paint dry than to do such a boring objective.
Can't recommend it at all, you're better off playing free games on itch.io if you have a craving for scary games.

This game was surprisingly fun! It has some flaws, sure, but it is remarkably effective in its core goal: To care you. The game is truly an exercise in isolation. Your character wakes up and you are given no information to go on. So you explore. As you do you find your objectives. Simple fun.
The scares are what are truly exciting though. I did not expect much as all, after all, it is a $0.99 game with a HUD ripped right from Halo. The scares are simple, but really effective. If you've ever watched Doctor Who, it'll seem familiar.
I had a lot of fun, and if you're just looking for a quick silly game with some decent scares, I would 100% recommend it. Though I will say, I think it would be more fun for someone who is streaming and interacting with an audience, as the game does have lulls in the action.

Please note, I'll update this review if these things are addressed in a future update, but for now, this is what I think about Dark Side.
While Dark Side has all of the necessary pieces to be a good scary game, it slips on a few key parts of the delivery.
The object of the game is somewhat confusing at first. It's simple enough, but on my first play-through I missed the goal altogether.
The antagonizing force can be a bit lackluster.
The timing on a few things is a bit awkward.
And why the Halo 2 HUD?
As I said, if these few things were improved on, the game really could be quite scary. But as it sits right now, it just doesn't hit it home yet.
