Unplayable. Even the "Walk in the park" difficulty doesn't allow enough time or resources to defend yourself, especially concerning military forces. Cute concept, good humor, cut-scenes are way too long, fun is completely drained due to absurd difficulty arc. Second mission of the campaign was laughable once I saw the scope of the enemy forces. Yes, I only played for four hours. Didn't need more time to understand the resources available + the battle timer would lead to certain massacre. Glad it wasn't expensive as I certainly regret purchase. 1 out of 10

Like the Campaign, just the beginning few mission cut scene too long and boring (understand it is a design choices, that make sense later). Game play fun, i have over 4000 unit fighting and my fps still good. Just finish another ending, the undead ending.... Best Ending ever....Like the Heavy Metal Music

Campaign stupidly hard even on easiest setting. Kept feeling like I wasted hours building up massive city to realize there was no way I would get through next wave. Lots of great things about the game but wish they re-worked the wave system.

This would be a "Maybe" from me if it was an option. This is not a game you can turtle! Its deceptive, you need to be on the offensive more often than not in each level. If you focus on defense, you will lose. The difficulty scale just seems completely off. Id love to see a "recommended number of days" to complete each mission, sort of like a par for the course so you can tell if you are really behind in terms of meeting the objectives. There's honestly a lot to like, but upgrades are too resource demanding, some building are too large for the space available, and I do think there should be a limit on waves; if you beat a certain number of waves, that's it for the level. If that actually exists for each level, I have yet to discover it besides the levels where the only objective was to survive waves. The other levels have objectives that you need to complete while surviving increasingly difficult waves that, again, don't seem to have a limit. Id definitely recommend to the devs a re-balance of the difficulty and to resize some buildings as well.

It was reasonably fun, until I reached an unbeatable level, even on easy. Git good on balancing the game.

Unlike some negative reviews, I do like the humor, and I don't think there is a huge difficulty spike in the campaign, though I had to restart 2 of the missions to adjust my strategy. I completed it on "ultra-hardcore" (which is medium). Granted, if you are coming for an actual *real time* strategy and expect to play it as such, this might be pretty overwhelming. However, god bless the pause button! You are able to plan, build and command units freely while the game is paused, and it's probably mandatory for handling the second half of the campaign.

Easily the best resource management game I've ever played. Solid maps ranging from easy to extremely difficult interlaced with comically pleasing videos and story. 10/10.

The game itself is decent. The main reason I can't recommend it is the "clickbait". This game does not fullfill the fantasy of hordes of monsters clashing against your well built defenses like in "they are billions". I really tried building nice defenses, but it's simply not encouraged by the design of the game. Building troops and putting a bit of wall before them once a wave arrives is way better, since you can move those troops, but not the walls after. Maybe this gets better later in the campaign, but I will never know since I got bored from having to do the exact same build order every... single... run... I think about the exact same problems every game and have the exact same way to solve them. There is an exeption with the drought and ritual mission, but it's design is so horribly bad, unbalanced and unfun (yes I have a personal problem with that mission), that I had to restart the campaign.

Pupultas! Its a great game. I enjoyed playing the campaign, multiple choices leading to different missions, 5 difficulties to select from, I have played on pure insanity and it was fun to figure everything out. If you are playing with all choices going for the king of current empire, you also get to be kinda on other side where you have to siege a city which was also great. Then it has endless mode with different scenarios, I can't wait for more content to appear there as well :)

Best RTS Base building & deefence if play after 2020 If you like RTS games with chaos powered by an incredible amount of enemies and some really interesting and entertaining challenges then that game is the right one. You can play the story mode in 4+ different lines of events and the game gives you a vast arsenal of units for 3 of them. Can't call it perfect since the gameplay becomes quite repetitive at some point but the story mode as well as challenges give you more than 50 hours of gameplay as much as I know thus allowing me to call this game one of the best RTS of this kind that you can play at this moment. I'm a lazy person so I am far from telling you all the pluses it has. “Diplomacy is Not an Option manages to blend elements of tower defense, Command & Conquer's fast-paced action, and resource management without ever feeling overwhelming. I love that I never have to pause in the middle of a fight to worry about tax statutes or which of my spouses is secretly sleeping with the nobles behind my back.”
