This game may be old, and the graphics show it, but it's still great. Based on the German pen & paper game "Das schwarze Auge" (The Dark Eye) Drakensang has an established, fleshed out world and is a solid RPG and worth playing, even if you don't know the source material.
The game's on sale pretty often and since it's quite cheap to start with, you'll hardly get more bang for your bucks.
