I really enjoy this game, but right now there are several achievements that will not trigger properly, so anyone trying complete them will end up disappointed. From what I have read online, it does not sound like there is much, if any effort being put into fixing this issue. Aside from that it is enjoyable, but I will not recommend it until the issues with achievements are resolved.

Honest Review
----------------
* For a 2013 game, graphics are impressive.
* For multiplayer: ask the partner to join the game while on lobby menu in PUBLIC match. Private match is broken. Mitigate NAT Strictness by using a good VPN.
* Turn off V-Sync as soon as you enter.
* Turn brightness down for more grunge. Turn it high on dark rooms.
* Confusing CMS navigation. Always select the objectives from keyboard shortcut.
* Player UI is difficult to maneuver on tight corners.
* Horror mission (NO SPOILERS) needs to denote what to do exactly. Or you'll play the mission for 1000 times only to quit.
* Crawlers with yellow spot was voiced by some funny person.
* Difficult to navigate while climbing ropes. There is knack for it. Find it.
* Create weapon blueprints you collect.
* Always check suit kiosk for new suits. Upgrade the kiosk.
* Always keep one tungsten bar.
* Aim for limbs and heads.
I will update as soon as get remember some. Highly recommend it for multiplayer.
Dead Space 2 is still the best imo.

Had a good fun playing co-op with my friend, probably the most underrated game in the franchise.

Honestly, not a bad game. It should just be played as a co-op game. It's a bit of a trip that way. Both you and your partner have different hallucinations and visions while standing right next to each other. The first third of the game is truly fantastic, especially on the harder modes.
What the game lacks is story. The first two games had so much to offer story-wise with such a strong build-up that it was a bit disappointing to see where DS3 took it. I was hoping the DLC would tie it up a bit better, but it somehow made it worse.
The horror element does completely disappear with co-op, but it's still joyous to play together like an action shooter that spooks you every now and then.
Pick it up on sale. If not, just keep replaying the remake.

A great game with well-done improvements over the previous entries.
Weapon crafting and modding was great, creating fun new weapon combinations and abilities.
Co-op play is fun but kind of dead unless you have a friend to play with. I got lucky and was able to play online and finish the Co-op only missions.
First played a long time ago and beat it on impossible difficulty.
Revisited in 2025 to beat on Classic. Planning to do Pure Survival next. Had a great time going through the story again. Mostly Plasma Cutter got the job done on this run! With a bit of Force Gun on the side.
For now, it's the final installment of the Dead Space franchise.
Hope they continue or reboot it, it's one of my favorite franchises, left for ever (or for now?) with the Awakened DLC cliffhanger ending. I'd love to see the story moving forward.
It won't get a remake but I'd say it doesn't need one, the game is truly great and well done.
Absolutely recommended 10/10

If it's on discount, don't even think about it - just buy it. If it's not - also just buy it. This is one of my favorite co-op games of all time, I highly recommend if you like a little bit of scary stuff (those damn birthday hats), but also if you enjoy great storytelling. 10/10 can recommend. The batteries are bugged af, but that's alright.

After finishing the game and the DLC - I remember, why I had good memories of the third game after my first playthrough, even if it is kinda crap'y game. It is a continuation of Clark's story and even after poor visuals and controls or lames ass weapon creation - it is a Dead Space game and I recommend it, just don't have big expectations after remake or second game. Hope I see the day of Dead Space 4 release and experience real conclusion of Clark's life.

There is nothing wrong with the Game itself. The Story is eh, but the gameplay is great for me.
Paradoxically, there is something wrong with the "Game". I've played Dead Space 3 for countless hours on Console long ago, I've had more of a blast than my Plasma Cutter ever did. Hours of lovingly crafted weapons and tools, resources gathered and memories forged by the nights I had fighting through the Necromorphs.
But now? The game is truly dead. It pains me to throw a negative review, but if you love something, then you need to be honest and face the facts. What IS wrong with it?
- Ration Seals are toast, you can't even use them 9/10 times anymore (The servers died or something, idc)
- Horrible stuttering, visuals may not always fit or work right to your screen.
- Origin and now EA App Storefronts being forced for this game (Same for Bioshock but that's removed thankfully!)
- Years of being reported for bugs and there has been nothing to fix anything equally as long.
- Sometimes Audio just straight up refuses to work.
- MK V parts are near impossible to get due to Ration Seals being broken (I don't care if "You can play the game fine without them!" That's besides the point, a function of the game itself is totally gone because it was broken and never fixed.)
I'm certain other people have worse or other issues that just make this game a stressful hassle to even get working anymore. And when I say stressful, it's genuine. I come here to play my games, not repair them and still nothing works as intended.
EA has been killing games longer than the Markers have been converging civilizations. Honestly we should put EA in a Lab and study them, perhaps we could find a way to Harness... No no wait.
The point is, this is a tragedy in a literal sense. I love this game, I truly truly do. But I cannot in good faith let the thing I love Rot any longer. So here is some useless Gamer, telling the Cosmos to NOT come here.
Perhaps the unitologists were right to some extent, maybe it really is better this way.

Completed the game in co-op with a friend on insane difficulty and I gotta say that it aint worth it's price:
-Story is weak and co-op content is kind of forced, as it gives the impression that Carver with all co-op mechanics were implemented on the last stages of development. It's so bad, that at some point for me and my friend it started to get so funny how other characters just straight up ignore the presence of Carver, only Isaac deserves attention.
-Almost all enemies are damage sponges and your usual interaction with them is that you get locked on a reused (literally from previous level) arena where there's a lot of them - shoot everything you see. Do you get scared? No. Why would you if you have full stasis and all the ammo in the world. Most of the times arenas and bossfights are simply annoying rather then being an interesting and skill-required fights.
-Saving system is DOGSHIT, maybe it was a bug or whatever, but until you reach basically a new chapter, once you close the game you'll load in the beginning of the one that you almost finished, devs should've just made manual saving system.
But despite all of this it has some good sides:
+Weapon customization is probably the strongest part of the game, feels almost like a little sandbox, judging by how many modules, bases and attachments there are to choose from, I can tell that you can really make something "of your choice" without any guides whatsoever.
+Some gameplay parts are kind of unique, but they lack more depth into them, like all Carver's sidequests are interesting, but why Isaac didn't have these schizo episodes? Why there were no sudden horror elements, like your friend fighting off monsters that you can't see? Same with the rest unique gameplay mechanics that appear once in game - the very definition of missed opportunities.
Dead Space 3 is a shooter that was born in horror franchise and because of that it failed at delivering both experiences.
Buy this game only if you're a big fan of Dead Space and only on sale.
