I normally would not bother with CYOA games this short but the author is the same as the excellent "Community College Hero(CCH)" series so I bought it on sale. Plus, it also has a superhero theme. I noticed a lot of the negative reviews are due to how short it is. Hello? it only has 40 some thousand words and it says that on the store page. My next smallest game has 87 thousand words. I KNEW it would be short. Anyways, short game aside, it is similar to the "low powered heroes and villains " of the author's other games, and fun. Buy it on sale if you like the author's "CCH" series . Otherwise, I doubt others would feel it was worth it.

The game is great, but don't expect it to be long. In 3 hours I have finished it a few times, which isn't a problem because it has A LOT of replayability. It is incredibly fun and the goals are pretty easy to accomplish, but you can't pursue all of them in one go. The characters are interesting even if we don't have much time to know them. (I would love a second game to know them more) The only con I can see is that the game is quite fast-paced, but story-wise is logical since the protagonist is the fastest person in the world :P (If you don't want to pay for just a few hours of entertainment, it is free on mobile, with ads. And if you play the game and enjoy it, pls check the saga Community College Hero, it is by the same author and one of my fav games)

Ok, the game is short, overpriced (similar games that are triple the lenght are the same price) AND is a paid version with bonus of a game you can actually play freely on the net. And honestly : it is well written, fast paced and enjoyable for what it's worth. Yes, it ends a little abruptly and yes, there are a lot of things I would have like to see developped (romance, secondary villains, sidekick, the other hero... all which are presented quite nicely but barely developped) The fact that you can't expect much from a CYOA with only 48, 000 words remains unchanged. Taking into account it's an Eric Moser (author of community college hero, a quality serie of CYOA) work it's still interesting to read it to see how he does in those circumstances. And if you accept the flaws of a short story then it is actually not bad at all. Overall I would say it should have been a novel, not a short story. It is well written but as a novel that's too short, not as a short story in itself in my opinion. Read it if you're curiosity is picked.

I like a lot of Choice Of games, so I'm disappointed to have to write so negatively about this one. There's really very little to this one. I don't just mean that your choices don't matter a whole lot. There's just so little story there. You're done in no time, but there's nothing to really explore, or even a reason to. As far as your stats are concerned, only a few choices in the beginning matter, which isn't entirely uncommon. The problem is the rapid pace means you move past those in a hurry. There are no significant branches. You can get through it in plenty of time to replay, but there's nothing there to make you want to replay it. If I hadn't gotten it on sale, I'd be mad. Do yourself a favor: if you want to try it, get it while it's on sale. It's not worth the full price.
