This is a cheap Resident Evil clone. It sets you out with a awful tutorial intro then sets you off in a car. At first you think OK this is something new but the car drives like a brick on ice and WHEN you crash and flip (not if ) you have to restart. If you see through this you get to the main game the mansion and it it not bad to look at graphically. The game looks good but is made of of the same 20 objects so looks the same all the time. Also this is the darkest game i have EVER played not for a good reason. You cant see anything unless you put the torch on it. Puzzles are few there maybe two that make you think for a while nothing more. Most of the game is the key hunt like a resident evil but done poorly. Combat is alright you aim with right click shoot left click. You can blow head or limbs off but where you shoot makes no difference. Ammo is everywhere so management of it is not so bad. Herbs don't mix but there here as well. There's a 2nd character for maybe 10 minutes that means nothing to the game overall. Overall if you pay maybe a few pound its an alright clone but i would rather pay much more for the Resident Evil its based on. Some bugs like if you save it it will revert to easy mode have not been addressed and Dev seems to be gone for about a year on discussions maybe moved on...

There's a lot of quality here, despite its short comings. The developer has put a lot of work into this game, but it suffers from some misguided ideas. If you're interested in trying it out, wait for a sale. It's worth it on sale. Graphics: It's Unreal. I've seen it done better, but the developer seems to have worked hard on this. Issues with volumetric lighting, surface level light scattering, and texture detail were my biggest complaints. Nothing looks quite clean. I had all settings turned to ultra until I realized I'd never get a clear view of surroundings while the post-processing was turned on. Even without it, lighting was an issue, but it was better. As for the world itself, very detailed, lots to look at, generally attractive. Sound: Turn off the music. It's out of sync. I thought I enjoyed it at first, it was theme appropriate, but it kept ramping up at odd times. It was jarring and began to hinder my experience. Turned off (it only goes down to 5%?), the experience was better. The ambiance is great, if a bit much at times also. Gun sounds felt a bit muted, but I was never bothered by it. Enemies all sounded appropriate, though rather generic. Mechanics/gameplay: Odd details that need to be pruned. The beginning of the game sets you in a shooting range where you pick up hundreds of rounds of ammo for a pistol, only to leave it all behind when you head for the crime scene? Odd choice. When you leave for the crime scene, you actually drive there. Why? It serves NO purpose. Worse, controlling the car is difficult and if you wreck, you can be forced to RUN the entire distance of the road to reach the next part of the game. It's a long road. Nearly unforgivable. There are issues with UI. Prompts show up on screen that you then have to pixel hunt for to interact with correctly. Doors should not be so difficult to work with. Moving around the inventory/map screens is a bit counter-intuitive. Once you realize the correct way to do it, it's not too bad, but it should never have been a thought in the first place. Gun play is wonky. Is the main character an alcoholic or an experienced officer? Enemies pop into existence. There's no sense of placement for them or tactics evoked from the player. When they appear, kill them. Will they suddenly appear? Most definitely. Will it almost always be a scripted event, like after you pick something up? Probably. Clear a room, do something (find something), clear the room again. Done. Not much tension there. And finding things in the dark gets frustrating. They don't blink, they just blend in. Pixel hunters rejoice. Nothing shows up on the map as marked once found, keep notes. Final impression: Despite the quality I mentioned, I didn't finish the game. The lighting got a bit too frustrating, the layout of the house opened in a semi-sensible way at first but too quickly. I kept getting lost before I could understand how to navigate better. And then, I randomly, without warning, run into the main villain who blows up the house. Just a few spare minutes to figure what's going on, what you must do, and where to go. I had a full inventory and couldn't even immediately pick up the necessary item. I had back tracked just to pick up some extra items when I was thrown into this 3 min death run. I died, I got irritated, I quit. After a breather, I'll probably return. This developer seems to be making a real go at making games. I hope he keeps working. As I said, wait for a sale and it's worth it. If this guy keeps hacking away at making games, I think he'll get it. Most of what's wrong with this game comes down to amateur mistakes in pacing of gameplay, not the graphics or HUD or yadda yadda...

Found it to be unplayable also no controller support either. Couldn't even get past the language page.

Terrible game, I ended up refunding because the driving part is so bad and the car kept flipping and there is no way to flip it back over. Also the dev said they added a button to restart the level and that's not a fix in my book when you have to do it 10 times or more.

A friend recommended this game to me; with the discount, its price is very reasonable. But when I entered the game, I felt fear. This is probably how it should be. The game is great.

This was... not good. I liked it anyway, though. I knew what I was getting into when I saw it is made by a single Russian guy, and I was overall charmed by the first-game attempt at recreating Resident Evil. I'm just gonna give a list of pros and cons, and this is not a recommendation for anyone who isn't interested in either the technical aspects or the jankiness. Pros: 1. The driving is absolutely hilarious. 2. The driving has a turbo button for no reason. 3. Enemies include zombies, werewolves, and Audrey II-esque plants. 4. Shotgun feels good. 5. Charming Resident Evil vibes, but slightly more Noire in nature. Yeah, like a B-Movie Noire Film or something like that. 6. The werewolves are what happens when the virus infects dogs. The dogs become big classic werewolves. We turn into zombies, but they get super-strength and become a biped? I love it, it's so weird. 7. My edible kicked in towards the end of the game and it really made me enjoy the B-game qualities. 8. It's pretty short at under 3 hours, so it wasn't too high a mountain. Cons: 1. The aesthetic is ambitious, but does not stick the landing. 2. The lighting contrast is incredibly aggressive and it's hard to look at for more than an hour. 3. Runs like absolute ASS. 4. The game crashes any time you re-load after dying. Reopening the game allows it to work, so not game-breaking. 5. Bosses are incredibly spongy with high damage, leading to time-consuming slogs that can end at any time via death. 6. #5 is exacerbated by the game having very little total ammo and some guns that can only be obtained by code-safes for which the codes are very difficult to find. It's easy to imagine getting completely stuck due to literally not having enough ammo to kill a boss. 7. The knife they give you sucks and takes 10+ hits to kill the weakest enemies on EASY difficulty. 8. Their attempt at tank controls w/ fixed camera angles is admirable, but they did not quite do it right. Rotating just requires turning the stick, but it just feels confusing when the camera changes angles. I can forgive this, because the third-person camera option works quite well. 9. Incredibly limited inventory leading to a bunch of walking to containers and juggling random items and keys. 10. AWFUL AUDIO BALANCING. I Feel Both Ways: 1. The objectively awful voice acting was a little fun. 2. Any non-protag characters have full Russian accents, despite being set in the States. 3. The driving resembles one of those hobbyist sims like My Summer Car or something. It has to change gears, and your headlights and ignition have their own controls. 4. Odd thing I noticed: The game renders the eyeballs but not the teeth. 5. Charmingly poor English in the menus. Every screen includes both QUIT and EXIT as separate options, and it took five times for me to lock-in which instantly closes the game instead of backs out of the menu. 6. I don't know how to feel about his take on a Resident Evil-style virus. It was the result of an attempt to cure Alzheimer's? It feels kinda weird to me. Maybe just ick, I dunno.

Ok, i have to recommend this game now, right after release there was issues with the car flipping, the dev fixed it asap, and even commented stating it was fixed and a work around for the strange view. One thing i personally would love, is a first person view when in the mansion or tight areas. But so far so good and seems the game has lots of hope. If you like resident evil this should be right up your alley. But do keep in mind this is only one person doing the work though he fixes issues and is open to listen.

This game has so much POTENTIAL it's kind of nutty...it's from one developer and this guy is really good. I am giving this a negative review because I don't want anybody else to suffer that I have had to suffer...there are certain problems that can ruin an experience for a gamer and one of those is not having the ability to save on top of running into constant bugs that throw you into having to replay certain things again. I have literally had to replay the intro of this game three times, with each time I get into the game I find my self running into something that makes me have to go back...example there is a "quit" and an "exit" and if you hit "exit" after editing a command you literally go to your desktop. Sounds silly it's so small, but this is one of the three reasons why I had to go back . Another reason was driving the car and ran off of track, car flipped and I could not reset the car or do anything so I had to "exit" and it was not saved. When you first start the game it has some of the worst controls I've ever encountered. I do not say this to be insulting, it was like mirrored and reversed and it felt like it was my first time playing a game in my life (no...it wasn't). The graphics are great, the animations are awesome, the dialog was there , the gun shooting was different and nice...but the MOVEMENT is not even close to ready. The game is not ready...and for that I can't recc this to anybody . Would have loved to appreciated this title more because I know this has potential and could be a hit but sometimes certain bugs can tarnish the overall experience of the game like in this case for me. Nice effort, don't give up!

I really wanted to support this because I really like these old school style horrors, but after getting a bit further I got the feeling something isn't right, and I found out that the whole mansion is literally taken from another game called Pacify, and the gameplay, enemies and UI is a copy from a tech demo. The game is pretty much a copy / paste job with a few locked doors and key placements and enemies placed around. This game should be made free to gather feedback to improve in future, not charged for. This is something you use to practice with.
