This game is very challenging, and made a change to the usual hidden object games.

I started to enjoy this game because it was easy and different. But when I wanted to "EXIT" the button never worked so I had to do a hard shut down. I tried again the next day and the same thing happened. Otherwise I would recommend this game.

perfect hidden items game gets harder as you play, no board or down time or time limit . a hand magnifier helpful.

- The artwork is highly blurry, making it difficult to discern anything.
- There was a bug where a duplicate item appeared, preventing me from completing the Hidden Object Puzzle.
I'll keep the game since I prefer not to refund games at this low price.

One of my favorite hidden object games, but I can not recommend this version as the exit button does not work. You will have to bring up task manager and end task.

YES!!! FINALLY!!! I saw this game a few years ago and I remember I wanted to play it very badly... but those were different times. When I saw it once again, I was excited and had to have it! The game came in a bundle and I finally, finally got to check it out! There is something about dealing with historic artworks that makes it so much more interesting.
You find items that are listed to the side and then bonus items pop up for you to get. There are "shadows" if you hover over items, BUT not for bonus items! There are hints too, but if you want first place: Find everything by yourself. (Btw, the video and first image of this game (up above) is from the First game... which I really want to play too... so maybe one day I can find a copy of it. They have spot the difference!)
The game actually doesn't look that complicated, but it is. It is... they hide items really well and in a comical way. Example: There could be kangaroo riding a horse with a machine gun near a kitten. That's just a sample of craziness ;). I also like the credits aka the funny drawings of the Developers!
Oh yeah, my play time is 10 Hours +, because I tried to get "First Place" in every level. It's fun, but also crazy... at some points I had to take a break, because I couldn't find the simplest of items!
Problems: Well... the game crashed on me. A few times. Until I figured out why it does it. There is some sort of bug that makes an item duplication (they have the same "shadow"), so if you see that... restart! The game gets confused with the same item. At one point I had an item appear that wasn't on the painting anymore. Restart button is your friend. If you don't, then it will make you go to the next painting. Oh and it doesn't like the "options menu" during the "room design" and it doesn't let me click "Continue" or "Exit". Hello "X" button up top.
There is also a fun mystery to solve as you go along, with comic style boxes at times! When you suspect everyone, you are sure to be proud of yourself as you discover that you were right when the person is revealed!
Thank YOU for bringing this game back! I would like to play the first and third game, but I understand if it isn't possible... One can dream though! Thanks! :) :> =)

A game with decently made hidden object scenes, but which unfortunately suffers some technical issues.
You play as Lana Vassari, a restorer just returning from vacation to find that a gang of robbers is stealing valuable paintings and returning them defaced. Galleries, auction houses and private collectors hire you to restore their paintings, while the FBI asks you to assist them in their investigation. In between restorations you get to redecorate your apartment using your earnings.
The game is entirely made up of hidden object scenes which consist of paintings from the old masters, some well-known (such as The Peasant Wedding by Pieter Bruegel the Elder), some not so much (such as unknown painting by unknown artist), to which the robbers have added additional objects which the player has to find. In general these are well-made, aside from the occasional object that is mostly hidden behind other objects, making it frustratingly hard to find. Also there is the incidental misnamed or unusually named object (for example, "poniard" is perfectly valid term for a certain type of dagger, but couldn't they have simply used the more generally known word "dagger"?), probably due to translation.
The room decoration "mini-game" is entirely superfluous. It doesn't add to the story (which there isn't that much of anyway, and is just an excuse for the existence of the hidden object scenes), and I just ended up ignoring it to get on with the next scene.
Unfortunately the game suffers several technical issues. A minor one I encountered only once was an object that could not be found. It wasn't just so well hidden that I couldn't find it, it actually wasn't there, since not even the hint function could tell me where it was located. Though annoying, this could be fixed by simply restarting the scene.
Another problem is that the game won't shut down, as the exit button in the menu does nothing. I found that the best way to quit the game is to alt-tab out of it and stop the game from the Steam client.
The most severe issue were the frequent crashes to desktop I experienced. This could get really frustrating, as these crashes tended to occur near the end of a hidden object scene when only a few items were left.
Despite these issues I would still recommend Hidden World of Art 2 to those who like hidden object scenes (which there are a ton of), as long as you don't mind having to restart the game every once in a while.

it was fine i guess. i bought this because i played the first one in my youth. It took a couple of hours, a couple of excruciating, eye-piercing hours. The biggest drawback is the quality of the paintings, they're terrible. Only a couple of scenes were fun. Spend money on this if you have nostalgia, but if you're a newbie, steer clear.

My fav hidden object game <3 My main interest with this game is the concept of hidden objects in classic real painting, it's so facinating! Even it doesn't have soundtrack, but it has crowd ambience that match the painting, the vibe feels alive like we go back in time into the time period of the painting!
I used to play this without Steam back then when I still a kid, now I want to support the game here. But it's kinda mix feeling tbh :') Either way in the end it's playable :D So here's my review~
Con:
- It has weird error in the very first time you click play, "SexyApp" will appear, that sounds shady as heck :( Thank you so much for others that solved that issue, you can find all the problem solving in "Discussion". Will the dev fix it? I don't think so, since it's an old game. This game has great potential but the first impression is bad with this error x'D
- When you are in room decoration and you want to exit, you will stuck on the menu. You can't exit or continue and need to force close it sadly. It solved by click continue when you're in room decoration, then click exit, it will work.
- Don't do the extra point hidden object list especially in the first level, you will be stuck as you already find those in the extra point list, but it's still in the original list.
- It's an old game, so it's not HD. It's not recommended to go to fullscreen because it will be pixelated :') Windowed is the way~
Pro:
- Objects are hidden pretty well and smoothly like the objects are part of the painting xD it can be tricky to find but it's fun!
- it's satisfying to have many hidden objects in a level, it's not too hard or too easy to find. You can appreciate the painting and the vibe too.
- Great sound design! I love the crowd ambience, the painting/vibe feels more alive, it's like we go back in time into the time period of the painting!
- No countdown, so take your time~
- The hint is helpful as its price is reasonable.
In conclusion, it's such an interesting game! It's recommended with caution xD OH and maybe get this when it's in discount.
