I actually really like that there's no locomotion. Forces you to move, making it seem more realistic. So far I am enjoying it just waiting for more characters to play.

Bad performance, no free movement or teleport. Is the actual fighting good? No so the whole game just falls apart.

This game is pretty good and I can see where it's coming from and where it could go. If this game had way more time put into it and way more development it might be playable. A few other reviews might say the controls are clunky, I'm not quite sure what they mean by that but the controls were fine for me. It's mainly just the AI that I'm fighting is really clunky. || You're going to need preferably more than 6ftx6ft of play area because whenever opponents hit the ground, they tend to fall into corners a lot for me and I keep on hitting the corner of my room quite often. || This is a probably an overlooked thing, but the UI in the game is really uncomfortable to look at. || If you allowed locomotive controls throughout the game except when in a fight to allow the player to get into a proper spot in their play area, that would be preferred. || Finally, whenever you get hit in the head in real life I understand that it's hard to see, but whenever you get hit in this game it just looks like you're on lsd for a second and honestly I would rather be hit in the head in real life than deal with that. If that effect was turned down a couple notches that would also make the game quite a bit more playable in my opinion. This game is great and all, but it's not good enough or developed enough for me to play this consistently, let alone recommend it to someone or my friends. Though I do see the concept and how this could turn into a well designed and fully furnished game.

review us and fr Heavens tournament is a first person fighting game with anime characters the special effect are great and the fight give a big importance to the strengh ,we can put in every punch or strike with weapon so a strong punch or strong attack can sometimes do fall the cpu against us . there is multiple difficulties and i enjoyed a lot the hard difficulty the characters use different skills, from punch to attack with sword and kick and we can move for real in order to block and more like in a real fight and we can fight against a various cpu from ninja to paladin , tiger and enemies with powerfull magic like fire for exemple the ninja we can play has two sword with powers , when the fighter woman use punch and skill the sound are great worked and we take pleasure to see our body as ninja for exemple and in few stage we can see our full body from face to back on big screen ,showing the fight in direct so it increase the immersion of the vr to see our move on the big screen in the body of the character and the IA is great worked and don't hesit to move in order to block or to dodge our attack and to attack if our defense is down during few seconds there is only two playable characters for the moment , i hope more characters in the future but Heavens tournament is a great fighting experience vr with anime style characters heaven tournament est un jeu de combat à la première personne avec des personnages dans un style anime que je recommande les effets spéciaux , sont supers et les combats donne de l'importance à la vitesse ou force de chacun de nos coups; par exemple un coup très fort ou une attaque à l'épee très puissante peut parfois faire tomber l'adversaire il y a de multiple niveaux de difficulté et j'ai beaucoup apprecié la difficulté difficile les adversaires utilisent une variété d'attaques ,allant du coup de poing , coup de pied ...aux attaques à l'épee ou encore magie autre point important : L IA est extra par exemple notre adversaire n'hesitera pas à se déplacer afin d'esquiver nos attaques ou pour les bloquer le son a été travaillé avec soin et nous permet même d'entendre l'entrechoquement des épées lors des blocages nous pouvons affronter une variété d'adversaires, allant du ninja au paladin , ou encore du tigre à l'adversaire controlant le feu et plus encore parmi les personnages que l'on peut jouer , le ninja utilise deux épees et pouvoirs le corps du personnage que l'on joue est modélisé et parfois la vision de notre corps n'est pas seulement en vue à la première personne en effet , dans un des niveaux par exemple on peut voir notre combat en direct sur un grand écran avec différent point de vues par de devant laissant apparaitre le visage , de derrière ou encore de coté ce qui augmente encore plus l'immersion et on prend plaisir à se voir dans le corps du ninja anime par exemple entrain de faire chacun de nos mouvements le jeu permet de choisir une variété d'option afin que chacun puisse jouer dans les meilleures conditions il n y a que deux personnages jouables pour le moment mais j'espère que d'autres les rejoindront dans le futur Heavens tournament est un super jeu vr de combat avec des personnages de style anime

It's not even fun as a meme it's just straight up horrible tbh. Couldn't play for longer then 5 min controls are primitive forcing me to face the oppisite way to my sensors so trackin then shits itself but when trackin is good just no, can't turn using thumb sticks and tryna change settings sends you to tutorial after you save constantly

Hit reg is pretty bad, enemies are too far away for me to punch with full force with no way for me to actually move towards them, grappling works sometimes but not very often.

It would normally be a thumbs down but the problem is there probably wont be any other game that attempts what they're doing here. So it's sort of like "Help us Obi-Wan you're our only hope..." Much like Blade & Sorcery it's one of a kind. The fighting is more in your face and feels like a struggle. Like you're desperately fighting off a person with a gun. Where you're grappling for arms, occasionally seeing a glimpse of an opening where you can pummel him in the face. The AI is pretty decent I found myself subconsciously switching to a martial arts fighting style to be more effective. It's cool, but due to the limitations of VR doesn't feel perfect. It would be an amazing fighting system for an anime RPG or something with more than just fighting. But as a pure fighting game it feels a little bit arcade and not totally realistic/satisfying. Punches feel more like a slap fest, but it's kind of satisfying that you can hit him backhanded (I think you can elbow too). Pretty fair considering the price. I hope the developer stays engaged and keeps pushing the game forward.

Its different! I see the potential of what it can really turn into especially once fully polished. Now I am someone who uses Thrill of the Fight a lot for workouts, so I was intrigued when I saw this game because I am an anime fan and I like working out while fighting. A few things I enjoy, while also a few things I would like to see improved. I enjoy the concept of the characters. Certain Characters have special unique abilities which you may have to adjust to according to their style. In addition too the characters you will fight, the characters you can choose also have a certain amount of time you will have to adjust with them. I also enjoy the fact that this game is definetly a work out! I enjoy the combat realism and that you have to work to take people out and knock them out.. Now that moves onto something I would like to see improved.. One of the things that are frustrating is not knowing how close you are to defeating your opponent. Unless I am missing something, there is nothing that tells me they are close to knocking the person out... I just have to keep going on until they are finished. I would like some type of indicator. Bruised faces... blood, body language... colors when I connect with them (like similar to TOTF) I need something. Second I would agree that the fighting is still a little clunky. Especially when they fall onto the ground.. Its actually difficult to ground and pound some of the people as they seem to wiggle all over the map. But I assumed I would run into slight bugs seeing that it is an EA game... I did notice the developer seems to be very passionate about the game. Already I've seen a few updates.. Which is a great sign!! I would also like to have more characters to fight with (currently only 2) and possibly an online component in the future.. There is a score board available which is cool. I will be merging this game as part of my work outs since I'm stuck in the house due to Corona!! lol Looking forward to seeing the growth.

YES!!! just yes this game is a blast. only have done two fights so far and each one lasted almost 10 minutes on easy mode. this game will give you a work out for sure! The controls are pretty good in my opinion. There is no locomotive movement but that just makes it feel more like a real fight. I really like that you HAVE to put force into your punches. honestly dont have anything negitive to say. game is in early access and am sure will get even better over time. its worth money if you want to get a work out and have fun at the same time.

The combat is very clunky, enemy AI is completely in your face making it impossible to react to attacks, adding weapons to a fighting game like this is also kind of a bad idea considering the weapons don't even have proper collision. The takedown controls are typically unresponsive and inconsistent. The fights feel like they take an eternity to complete. There is no locomotion controls so people with small play areas have no way to play this game, also moving around actively with a giant wire running down your back isn't the best idea either. Getting tangled up in the wire trying to keep up with the AI moving around the arena is pretty annoying. Can't recommend this one. EDIT: I don't know how else I'm supposed to attack the opponent, I already had my special ability activated for the dude with the daggers and I felt like I wasn't doing anything against my opponent. How am I supposed to hit any harder when I'm already attacking weak points with my special ability activated? And the weapons just feel awkward to use, I personally believe that leaving it strictly as a hand to hand combat game would've been better, it'd feel much more natural and it would make more sense with the "realism" aspect you're going for.
