Is this a joke?
This has to be the clunkiest most badly made platformer I've ever played.
You have to see it to believe it.
First, the text: the text font used in English is way too big. It goes out of the text box (meaning it's not really a text box, it's just a background they write text on: big difference) and also often right out of the screen.
You can already smell the "quality" before even starting to play. /S
So there is some BS story putting your character in a "virtual reality": understand a 2D platformer.
Everything feels stiff. I can only imagine someone without any experience of programming adequate controls has made them, and there was no QA team worth a damn to ensure it was decent enough.
Also, and I didn't understand at the moment, you get interrupted by various pictures of the two girls.
This has to be an high-school project.
I went up to the first boss.
I'm used to Souls and difficult games and this one is clearly not. But as easy as it may want to be, I'm pretty sure rushing to the boss sprite and hitting attack until it dies should not be a acceptable way to kill a boss. It took about five seconds.
That's when I decided I had enough.
I was puzzled as how this game had "mostly positive" reviews. I'd have expected it to be overwhelmingly negative.
So I've looked a bit and it turns out "Null & Peta" are anime characters. (It was news to me too. It has a pretty low score on "myanimelist": around 6.4 when anything below 8 is usually to be safely ignored.)
I'm assuming the whole point of this game is to be an excuse to get pictures of these two in various settings. This explain the trivial difficulty and abysmal quality and gameplay.
I got it for cheap in a bundle otherwise I'd immediately ask for a refund.
