Space Crew: Legendary Edition Reviews

Great space strategy game I love all the crew games.

I'd still like to put in more time but one of my favourite aspects of this game is how it scratches an itch I've had for a while: A solid Star Trek-like experience. One where I can get lost in the future, exploring the cosmos.

Game has a lot of bugs that soft lock it self

The premise is fine, but there is so many arbitrary aspects of the game that suck the joy out of it.

Space Crew: Legendary Edition is a fantastic blend of strategy, resource management, and real-time combat that puts players in command of a customizable starship and its crew as they defend Earth from an alien threat. Building on the original Space Crew, the Legendary Edition adds more content, including new missions, an away-team feature for planetary exploration, and expanded ship management. The game’s balance of tactical decision-making, crew specialization, and unpredictable encounters creates a rewarding challenge, especially for fans of FTL or Bomber Crew. With its engaging gameplay loop, charming art style, and high-stakes space battles, Space Crew: Legendary Edition is a must-play for anyone who enjoys sci-fi strategy games.

Extremely janky controls, absolutely no fun dying for a tenth time because the game actively interferes with your commands. I just don't get it how the developers could totally kill the gameplay they nearly perfected in 'Bomber crew'.

At first, Space Crew did not captivate me nearly as well as Bomber Crew did. Bomber Crew stood out to me due my affinity for military history and the bombardier gameplay elements. But, I can safely say that Space Crew has since earned my affection. The gameplay can get chaotic during the heat of battle, but you feel perfectly within your limits so long as you keep your ship routinely upgraded and your crew progressing their skills. I've yet to finish Android Ambush, but it is on my list of things to experience on the long road to earning every achievement. Buy it on sale, or pay in full if you can afford it and you want to support the devs and the publisher.

I enjoyed Bomber Crew a few years ago, however at this point I don’t like this franchise’s enemy tagging system. I’d rather the game have less busy work while focusing on more interesting strategies.
