It's a simple game, but nothing in depth for me to recommend it. If there weren't other Roguelike games that were more fun to play than this one I'd recommend this. But this is just for kids and... The price tag is not the best sadly. I'd even recommend getting into The Binding Of Isaac instead of this, yes, it might be harder but it has more content for a lower price.

I've put in 4 (close to 5) hours so far and have been enjoying the hell out of this game. The controls are tight, the perks and weapons are well thought out and most importantly the moment to moment action is quite intense. If you're a "fan of the genre" I think this is a great pickup.

I love a game with retro vibe to it! Just got it and so far Im loving it. Sometimes it is a bit hard to understand where you need to go, but it pushes you to explore stuff, so I guess thats not an issue.

It's a good game. Gameplay is tight and responsive. There is meta progression, different characters that are essentially different classes, and the decisions made during the runs have good impact throughout the run. Boss fights are fun. I recommend it.

The game itself is pretty good. It's fun, has decent replayability etc. I'd recommend it, except for 2 things, one of which is a deal breaker. 1) Often it doesn't start. It'll go to a grey screen, but not get further. Sometimes a reboot sorts it, sometimes it doesn't. Often if you get it start the first time, it won't start a second time without a reboot. Drivers are all up to date, so not sure what the deal with that is. Seems lots of other people are experiencing the same based on the forum discussions. I could just about put up with this though, I guess. 2) This is the deal breaker. My game got stuck in a state where it was using a "save game" with only a single life, with no way to start a new game. You could choose a different area, different load-out, even a different character, but it would always drop the lives to 1 as soon as you start. Whilst it's not a particularly hard game, starting with a single life constantly makes it much, much less fun. I've cleared caches, uninstalled and reinstalled, all to no avail. That in itself isn't the deal breaker. What is, though, is that I reached out to the developers multiple times by email about this issues just to be completely ignored. This game is therefore abandonware, with no support or interest from the developers. It's a real shame.

Amazing game design and the different guns are nice, the map creation is great and gives replayability. However the difficulty of the game is defined which makes it difficult for a beginner player. The camera is focused on the character which makes it difficult to know which enemy is in which corner which causes many times the unavoidable damage. mini map could have helped in addition difficulty level increases from really easy to difficult depending on the stage 2/5

I had this game on my wishlist for over a year, and I bought it the day it came out. It wouldn't load, kept on getting stuck at the loading screen, I tried loading it a bunch of times doing verifying, validating, re-install but nothing worked. Even though it didn't load. it still counted it as gameplay time, so I had to refund it before the 2 hour limit was up. It's too bad, I really wanted to play this game.

Quick Score: 4/5 Notes: It is very much a gungeon clone, however I had a decent amount of fun progressing through and eventually finishing the game. It is relatively light on content, only really having 4 bosses total, but what it does have is fairly polished. Wouldn't be my first pick as far as these types of games go, but if you've played all the others or are able to catch this on sale, its worth checking out. In just under 9 hours i pretty much 100% the game, or at least did the hardest possible achievement the game has anyways. So I wouldn't expect to get more than about 10 hours of gameplay out of this.

The permanent progression that is associated with action roguelikes is really bad here, in fact it's probably the worst I've seen in any game in this genre. Pros: - Cool art style - Competent top down gunplay Cons: - Only 3 permanent upgrades possible at one time all of which are very underwhelming - The currency by which permanent upgrades are purchased is drip fed and they are very expensive to buy - Most of the weapons including higher rarity ones perform very poorly - Only 3 player characters to choose from and 2 of them are subpar - Starting weapons are very poor - Difficulty is overtuned - Ammo economy is non-existent

So I've played this game for 10 hours at this point and I think it's really awesome ! It's definitely a hard/slow-to-progress game but it really feels satisfying as well. There's lots of stuff to unlock and 3 pretty different characters to play with (eventually). I play them in rotations and it feels fun and refreshing like that. As with every rogue game, it takes a while to start unlocking permanent upgrades and get things going but you do get some cool rewards on a pretty regular basis on the way ! I haven't played any of the games other people have been comparing this game to so I'm pretty happy with what I'm getting here. Only thing I would like to see different so far is the dodge cooldown. I think it might be a little too much to have a cooldown since you can't really avoid getting hit if multiple enemies attack you from different fronts at the same time. Otherwise, really cool game !
