I love to play these hacking games. And for $5 dollars this is a good intro if you have never played anything like this in your life. The problem is, if you are actually in the white hat / black hat space IRL then this game is childish and ridiculous. Yes it has the buzz words and basic concepts but it plays like it was created by a 3 year old. Yes it is cheap and yes it is weak AF I would not recommend this game. If the dev team wanted to put more time into making a game that is actually close to how this process works then I would review it again. 3 octet IP address doesn't even exist irl. This is a good example of how Steam should really start to regulate the type of games that are allowed on their platform. I have bought and downloaded so many games that are 'garbage' .

It's full of spelling mistakes, the interface is terrible, and the gameplay is totally unrealistic. Go and do some free intro-level capture-the-flag competitions on the internet instead.

So, this game is flawed and is not worth the price, however low it may be 1. not at all realistic, unlike what the desc says 2. there are sites which you just CAN'T hack, since the ports can't be opened with any programs you get by that point in the game, after which all your old machines get wiped 3. at some point in the game, you get several missions which all relate to the same LAN... but only one of them has the IP to access it, so if you pick first any of the other options (you can pick any of the 3) you'll have no idea of which page you are meant to hack 4. these 3 missions? they were straight up stolen from a 20 year old game 5. i've personally gotten stuck at 1 point where you just got no ip to keep following, so you can and will just get stuck i've played only 2 other hacking games in my life, and the HUD seems like a REALLY scuffed fussion of both of them, while being not nearly as good as either of them anyways, those two games are uplink (two company names are just taken from it and the 3 generic missions are stolen from here) Hacknet (the map seems to be copied from it, and the way you open ports it's pretty similar to it, but just executed worse since you don't manage RAM) Both these games are cheaper and got a better story than this cashgrab
