This game remind me to the old shoot'em up and also the art is nostalgic. Very cool for the shoot'em up lovers!

A fun little horizontal shmup. I'll be short. Pro: - Interesting upgrade system. Some level requires a specific tool, so you won't be able to get through all the stages with only one build. You have to adapt. - Good level layouts - no empty stages, you will find obstacles, flying islands, different terrains. In a lot of shmup, the space is just a void to avoid bullets, here you get a lot of stuff. - Bosses are - okay. - There is a room for weapon testing - Space and planet surface levels are very different - You can send a drone to the terrain, so it can help from above. Very cool idea! Contra - I'am a fan of pixel graphics, so iam not after super-modern 3d stuff, but not really this style. It's like it was drawned in paint. Some good visual ideas, but the overall look still cheap. - The problem, i already mentioned in the forums. In every shmup, where an upgrade system is included, there are usually 3 variations... A, U can replay older missions to get more credit. B, U can SELL items, which u don't want to use. C, U get credits even for failed missions, so u can slowly progress. Well, this game doesn't include ANY of these options. What u have is: u get cristal for succesful missions only, u upgrade some stuff, and thats it. But here comes the twist and the problem: to beat some missions u need to have some specific kind of weapon (ground, bomb, homing etc), so... if u haven't invested into them... u screwed up your whole game, and save file. So, i played the game without bombs perfectly fine. And now, iam at the very end of the game with a boss, that CANNOT be damaged without bombs. I have no crystals to upgrade bombs, so the game forces me to do this with a level 1 bomb... How is this upgrade system thought to be a good idea? Totally ruins a fun little shmup...

Simply did not enjoy it. Ugly, bland and awkward. Poorly explained, and for me, not even a little bit fun.

This game is surprisingly fun considering it's cheap graphical style. Combat is clunky but there is some nice upgrade mechanics. This game lacks a lot of polish and it's overpriced for what it is, but if you really like side scroller shooters then its probably worth it.

A cool Pixel 2D game with cool sound track. If your a fan of old 2D shooter Sci-Fi games then this is to go.

Decent shmup made by mostly one guy. The game isn't very long (6 stages), but having only 3 lives means that you have to redo them a few times if you are not careful. Didn't have any problems distinguishing what's happening on screen, so all deaths were fair. You get all the equipment from the start and then you can upgrade the ones you use with the currency earned from winning the missions. Didn't encountered any bugs or crashes.

First and foremost, hats off to the dev to making a Linux version of the game, I feel many neglect that platform. I played it on Xubuntu, and it worked flawlessly. The game is what it seems: a retro styled shoot em up, with decent graphics and nice soundeffects. I liked the gameplay, it is quite exciting, although the bonus missions should have been better explained. But overall, the game is good fun.

Amazing game which is very easy to understand. Graphics are crisp and not disturbing. Sounds are perfectly adjusted and aren't too loud. Overall amazing game would recommend

This game brings me back to the arcade games I've played in the late '80s. Exile Squadron can be quite challenging, but since you don't have to use quarters to replay the game (like in the arcade cabinets of old), you can try to overcome this challenge as many times as you want. And when you finally beat the level you were struggling with for some time, that feeling is fantastic. I'm only at the third mission, but I'm enjoying it a lot. Can recommend it to anyone who wants to play a good retro shmup.
