Not the longest story, but a good one none the less. It's an enjoyable gameplay loop; the achievements and in-game collectibles were all super fun to work towards. Definitely one of those games you can fall into playing for hours. All the same, the game makes it easy to play in small sessions too if you're looking for something quick, or just want to take your time with a ship.

I really liked it. Overall it had:

Good pacing
The introduction to new mechanics didn't come too quickly. Some of it felt a bit forced, but if you're not looking for it it's hard to notice.

Solid mechanics
There aren't all too many ways to cut up a ship, but the ways you have work very well. Gear upgrades are meaningful, not too many, and not too costly (so you don't have to grind very much for it).

Very good music
The music fit the game very well, and I found myself not turning it off in this game, which was a bit odd since that is normally the first thing I do in any game. It could have used a bit more variation or a few extra tracks.

An okay art style
The art style of the NPCs are best described as very good concept art, I think. They could have used some more polish, and look like they don't quite fit in with how nice everything else around you look.

A decent enough story
The story is nothing crazy and probably won't go down in history as one of the great works, but it doesn't have to as it fits the game, and its look and feel, and is executed very well. I very much enjoyed it. If a DLC with more, or a new, story comes out I am definitely interested in playing more.

One of my all time FAV games, I have been playing it sense it was in early access and it has only gotten better. Good for 15 minute intervals or hours of play it has both a good story and unparalleled design.

It feels as though there is still a lot of untapped potential here - true, procedurally generated ships to disassemble could offer almost endless replayability for those who just want to zone out and cut stuff apart without worrying about an overarching storyline. As it is, the game is rock solid in the 'relax and disassemble' department, but it suffers from a limited selection of ships with minimal randomization as to their layouts. If you disassemble a certain ship type once, you've seen pretty much everything there is about that variant, barring some minor differences between location of specific equipment between ships and which rooms are locked/pressurized or not. What's here can easily offer a hundred hours of enjoyment and justifies the price, but I was really hoping for even a bare-minimum level of procedural generation of new ships once the main content is finished.

What used to be a good simulator game now bogged down by a story implemented in such a way that it drags down gameplay. Some don't like it's messaging, but even as someone who broadly agrees with it I find its implementation extremely cumbersome. The fact that
your debt gets cleared at the end of a relatively short story
severely hurts a significant part of the old experience. The game was simply better, and even delivered better on its own themes, when it was a little quieter about it. Please implement a mode with debt and progression but without the constant chatter and interference.

Very fun game for what it is but as a caution, the game is abandoned by the developers. That being said, it is extremely satisfying to fully break up a ship and sort the parts into the right furnace. Recommended to buy on sale.

I really enjoy the puzzle solving aspect of deciding how to take apart each ship. Even once you've figured out the method you want to employ, the process is still very satisfying.

This is a good game. With amazing soundtrack. And very good atmosphere. This game will make you angry on the managers and the corporations. And you should be angry. This game will also make you think about common people and the government and some policies of some government that lead to the people exploitation and anti-union laws. This in my eyes only a good game can do. As a side piece you will also get a nice puzzles of breaking some ships. You can even ignore the story altogether if you really wish to do so.

While the game can be fun and relaxing. There's just to many little problems that just make it more frustrating than enjoyable on a regular basis. The annoying and UN-SKIPPABLE dialog. Why do you only have to sometimes answer the com other times it just starts. Why can't you save midship, I have a life that interrupts games, and some of the bigger ships take a lot of time. Also saving in the HAB, great partially, but we still have to do the wake up and listen to the same dialog on a reload. The logic of what order to do things makes no sense sometimes, and can apparently change between the instances of same ships. Occasionally you do an action you have done many times before, but this time it explodes, but won't next time. When moving things about they will just fly at you at incredible speed, with no real reason. Especially using the reel in function. Most of the time works as you would expect, but this time Its going to kill you. It the random things that make it so frustrating. Its so close to good. I occasionally come back to try it again only the meet up against the same frustration. And stop. Those hours I have is over years, a couple of days at a time.

This would be a great game if the devs actually cared to do any work on it, updating or even making DLC for it, or maybe even a sequel. Literally any content. As it stands there is very little ship variety, not nearly enough to call this a "full release" game. The last significant update was in November of 2022, the modding community is dead because there is basically no support for it, so you can't even get new variety that way. I have 200 hours so obviously I enjoyed the game, but i got it in early access and was holding onto the hope that the developer would make significant improvements to the game. They did manage to add a few ships and an actual "story", but most people in the community dislike the new story anyway because it is slow and unskippable. Plus once you get to end game there really is no end game content or new game plus.
