This game is a considerable improvement over Atom, many of the complaints I had for that game have been fixed. It’s still not a perfect game I found myself visiting wikis and reddit to get past stuck points fairly often and some of the skills are unbalanced, gambling for instance is virtually useless but for an indie game it’s quite good if you were on the fence about atom Trudograd. Combat is much better most notably there are far fewer massive slow battles with a horde of weak foes dragging the combat out. Character advancement is much better being priced by off rank instead of increasing in price endlessly. I look forward to this groups next project.

This game is a real classic cRPG, it's got the atmosphere, the vibe, the humor (with tons of references to pop-culture and media from the past and contemporary!) and the action. I hope they'll (AtomTeam) keep on trucking with this formula!

It's a real good game like the original Fallout. It has it's faults; humor is a little too meta (a lot of things are a little too meta) but it is a very enjoyable game nonetheless.

I. Love. This. Game. I think I prefer the barren wasteland of the first Atom RPG, but the story and pacing of Trudograd is more focused. Part of that is in owing to its status as as "standalone sequel/expansion." Make no mistake though, this game stands fully on its own two feet. You could play it without having played the first. I believe I spent 5 fewer hours in Trudograd than I did the first game, but I came away more satisfied. Unlike the first, I didn't face any unwinnable encounters. Things were challenging but fair. I did bring my character over from the first game, so I'm not sure if my extra levels helped overcome certain soft-lock situations that other reviewers are mentioning. I will say that the game doesn't give you as many skill-checks for less popular skills, like Technology. Speechcraft is more emphasized, which suits my style of play. Nearly every encounter can be won or heavily weighted in your favor. For example, I talked just about every quest-giver into giving me a bigger reward than they otherwise would. My golden tongue knew no shame. Oh, you need those 300 rubles to keep the heat on? Pity that, now give me 500 for suffering your sob story. It's amazing how huge the dialogue trees could be for each character, no matter how trivial. Speech options are how you emphasize the RP of an RPG in my opinion. Couple that with a fully realized world, and I can't find much to criticize. It's the best homage to Fallout 2's memory you could ask for.
