Game's idea OK but not finished. I do not recommend. GO play Hades instead of these pile of shit.

Colorful dungeon crawler that just feels fresh and not that repetitive. Most positive thing is No Micro Transactions, which is amazing. Although simple it can get stale after few levels and lack of any story is a minus. But overall a welcome and fresh addition to the genre.

One of the best rogulikes out there, especially in terms of combat. Bosses can be a bit spongy though.

Pretty game. Fun. Kinda harder than it should be imo. idk. Also not much content compared to some other equally fun "rougelike" games.

Very good game.
I wish I tried it sooner, but this is one of the cases where the game plays a whole lot better than it looks.
It reminds me of Dead Cells circa 1.0. Without all the years of patches and expansions, that is.
Same feel to combat, where you need to keep a cold head and not button-mash like you would in, for example, Hades. In Curse of the Dead Gods, also like in Dead Cells, every weapon and class of weapon is distinct, with it's own advantages and disadvantages. The itemization is excellent-- there is a lot of attributes attached to particular weapons, and all of them provide a noticeable benefit.
The enemies are relatively few, but each one is distinct and they work well both solo and in groups. Locations are also few-- only three, but all three are different enough and fun to play through.
The story and other fluff is present here in a way that I prefer--in written journals that you unlock by killing particular enemies. No voice acting. No cutscenes. A very short tutorial.
I would have loved to have more of this game, but unfortunately developers moved on to the next project (which I didn't enjoy nearly as much). It is what it is.
All in all, Curse of the Dead Gods is a very well put together, complete game. One of the few that I didn't regret buying in quite some time.

Although it is not a bad game (especially when you get it at discount), I cannot recommend it.
My biggest gripe - everything is random to the point of stupidity.
- random weapons
- random affixes
- random curses
- random maps
- random relics
- etc.
Every single run everything is random. That means you will get "a good run" once every 10-20 (one run is 30-60 mins). You cannot focus on some specific build, because one random curse will render your build useless. You cannot focus on curses, because random weapons with random affixes may never drop what you need to make them viable. You have few "rerolls", but you may use ALL of them at one altar to get a specific weapon or relic, and you still won't get it.
If you played hard platformers like Blasphemous, this game is imo 5x more frustrating.
So to sum it up - the graphics, mechanics and overall idea of the game is not bad. But the execution makes it pathologically frustrating to play and ENJOY.
