I enjoy this game, but by all hell it's a buggy mess, especially in the pits. For example if your not careful with how much stamina you have before you start the next pit match you could permanently lose one or all your stamina charges.

already super good, simple game system extremly high skill cap graphics are great, combat is polished and enjoyable, its super replayable, gameplay loop is great, large weapon selection, the only thing missing is pvp, once that is added along with smth like a friends list for dueling specific people then it will be perfect
also what is endless is it horde? or like what is it? is it unlocked after beating the game? you should prolly explain this in the description

I love this game, from its simple 8 bit arcade vibe, to its robust feeling emotive animations for such a simple game... however if i could say yes and no to would i recommend, i would, i think its an overall great game but there are many simple things that make the thrill and rush of the challenge quickly turn tedious and rather dull. I think its got so much potential to be a grade A banger game. I just wish it wasnt so purely spiteful at times.
now allow me to explain that its not an issue with its "unforgivably", anyone whose played any soulsbourne knows thats kinda what we sign on for when buying a game like this... but its that in a way it forces you to keep playing before you can play... for elaboration, i got to the final boss night 1 with this game, and have ever since been trying to beat it. I love the heart pounding thrill the boss in question has.... what i dont like is spending 20 minutes in between each fight grinding back up my blood points just for a simple attempt at the boss... i already did all the grinding to buy every weapon, was working on buying every armour, but i ended up just setting the game down and saying aloud to myself and partner in my room "ya know i wish it was more fun than this.." and it was all due to the insane request of 500 blood pure attempt at the boss... im here for unforgiving, but how am i expected to learn the patterns of the boss if when i die to him i have to spend another half hour getting up enough points to even try again, only to be so exausted by that point i dont even want to try to play...
overall i think this game is super fun and i have no real issue with its difficulty or even its challenge or pace... i just wish it was less tedious with the "grind for a try" bosses.... that was literally the only reason i shelved this game until either i get a very specific masochistic day i want to dedicate 50 hours to grinding all the blood i could ever need, just to throw myself at that boss the way most every other souls like game allows you to, or a major update comes out. I love this game, its principals, and the fact that it is literally the first proper fight pit experience ever of feeling dragged through the mud and beaten brutally into the dirt (and while i love other games like for honor, this is far more tame) i just wish it had more natural replayability and less (seemingly) forced replay by making you grind in between attempts at the bosses, only to get more frustrated by those attempts to mindlessly grind.
Other than that its dope, 9/10, still on my favourite's list lol

I'll be fully honest here and say that it feels like the controls should be better. This game is probably the most annoying and tedious game I've ever played. Wondering why I put it as recommended, because it's also really fun. Up to the first boss is free on Opera GX, test it out there, and if you like it as I did, buy the game, it's really cheap.

Nice art and game mechanics. It can be a bit difficult, and gaining resources takes a lot of time. Overall is an addictive game >.<

This game just doesn't play well. Unpleasant delay, insane hitboxes and overall mechanics that I struggle to understand got through playtests. 2/10!

The same resource used to upgrade your character is the same resource you have to use to FIGHT BOSSES AGAIN IF YOU FAIL. Its the equivalent of having to pay souls before walking through the fog on a boss in Dark Souls but for EVERY attempt. Such a demoralizing feature in the game to lose and then have to GRIND BLOOD AGAIN just to fight the boss that you would rather be spending on your UPGRADES. Fix this and I might be able to recommend.

First hour was quite fun. After it the game gets very repetitive. After two hours you probably unlocked every weapon, shield and ability and pretty much seen all the game content.
And then the slog begins. Even with save backup (without it it's even worse because you are forced to repeat normal fight in order to be able to repeat boss fight when defeated). Because boss fights are quite unbalanced (especially the last one which took me like one third of the whole playtime).

YES & works great on SteamDeck.
I was hesitant because of people saying it's Domina rip-off. Let me assure its absolutely not. Why do I say this?
Well I own both. Domina is more of train your gladiators team, unlock tree of many perks, purchase more gladiators for team members, TRAIN them and fight them, together or alone. REALLY good game as well, but this game.
GLADIUM.. well unless it's illegal for people to use similar graphic style in a game. This is not really like Domina. Here you are ONE gladiator. Live or die, win or loose. You simple fight, to earn money, to upgrade to go back and fight. No team of gladiators, no politics, no training before you fight. No real separate skill points to raise. Just weapons, armor and your own Brain to improve and fight over and over.
My favorite is the bodies and blood you slaughter during the battle stays on the ground untill you win or loose and leave the arena. Really nice touch.
Game plays smooth, controls are solid and gameplay is really fun, perhaps a little grind, but fun.
I have both of the games and love both equally, perhaps this one a little more, because of being able to constantly fight with your character. Upgrade weapons, special perks, armor, and don't loose any of it even if you loose and die. And the blood and bodies during the fight.
Great price, lots of fun

Game is asset flip from Domina, which is the superior game. Do not support such behaviour.
This developer claims he didn't steal the assets, but the only ones he has created are goofy cartoony icons. Calling bullshit.
