3 hours disappeared; I'm not sure how. But now I need to sleep before work. If you liked 'Motherload' for the zen mining; you'll probably like this.

A shameful try at remaking Motherlode. It all just feels off, and with no settings nor any reason to "progress" to what comes to an hour of play (unless you want to grind) it is just a waste of time. I truly liked the bug that removed 1/4 of the features gg

Fun game, like a new Motherload. Could use video options so you can play windowed, not even steam launch controls will let you do it.

Oh man, i was waiting for this game for a while. What a let down. Game is clunky, weird mechanics (never need to refuel, because you die and start with a full tank) and most of all: lack of content. Game is barely worth 1 euro, get it when it has a 90% sale to have a few hours of grind.

Thumbs up, but barely. It's not that the game is bad, but I paid almost $9.00 for a game that I'd expect to see on newgrounds or armorgames. I don't mind supporting indie devs, but I expect a bit more from them if they're going to put this kind of price point.

Ohhh this games takes me back to the time of Motherload. (the flash version, not the steam version) I just love the ambiance and the music is very good! Every time you go down it is the question of will I be back before my fuel runs out? Every dive is a hunt for riches that you don't want to interrupt to get fuel, but you have to. And in time as well because else your haul will be lost forever! Upgrading this makes it easier to get huge hauls. Content wise I think the price is a bit steep but the game is very fun to play nontheless.

When I start the game I'm filled with nostalgia for the old flash game Motherlode and I would like to experience something similar and expanded upon. I wasn't expecting to also have a similar user experience in terms of game options. Missing even a basic option menu for resolution and windowed mode control. The ability to rebind keys, and just a quick screen of "how to play" to show what buttons to press to have things move is something I would consider the bare minimum, yet it's missing on day 1 of this title's launch. The game doesn't have any mouse support to navigate the menus. The gameplay and mechanics seem similar to Motherlode and I'm still going to continue playing despite these faults. For now I would hesitantly recommend, just know that you might have to wrangle the game itself in order to play. Hopefully these things can be quickly resolved with a patch.

This is the perfect little miner game for a nice little price. I love games with this dig/cash/repeat loop, and this one scratches the itch quite well in a concise manner. No real bells or whistles, and I beat the game in 2.5 hours. Mines of Volantis is an easy purchase if you like what you see in the pictures. If you don't like what you see, you likely won't enjoy it. Thanks to the devs for making the exact game I've been itching to play since flash games were wandered the net. I almost set out to make it myself a few times, but no need now, this turned out EXACTLY as it should have. Great job!

Beat the game in less than 2 hours. Not enough content for the list price. I'm not demanding a refund, just thought there'd be more to it. It was fun but would fit better on a site like Kongregate (RIP) or similar. The remaining achievements aren't discovery or content-based, just grinding the same content I've already done. Maybe the dev is planning more content, but if it's paid DLC I'd have to pass.

I'd like to recommend this game. A good hit of nostalgia for about an hour and a half. It reminded me of playing motherlode as a kid and just having a good time of it. But, unfortunately, I just can't recommend it at the price it is. I have 78 minutes on record. I've beaten all there is to offer beyond grinding mindlessly for more upgrades or getting the achievement to beat the game 5 times. It's a good game, but I sincerely don't think it's a good $10 game.
