Got soft-locked multiple times on the "blowfish" puzzle that has lava/ garbageshoots. Using the "respawn at checkpoint" option would spawn me at an area of the puzzle I could not leave (had to do puzzle again and was soft locked a 2nd time). Had to exit the game to get out of puzzle.
Tried to refund and was denied due to having this in my inventory too long.
More CONS:
- unresponsive inputs
- enemies can "detect" you when not looking in your direction
- ladder and other interaction mechanics are not designed well

Samudra, which means ocean in English, is a very graphically beautiful game. It’s like a walking simulator with puzzles to solve, some mandatory and a few optional ones. The art is very well done, although sometimes the animations are a bit stiff. I did encounter a few issues while playing, mostly having to do with the game not registering some waste pickups. The music adds so much to the atmosphere of Samudra, it really compliments it. There’s two different endings, but the animation for after you reach land again are the same for both. I would have liked to see two different animations for this. This game is by no means perfect and you should not expect high quality platforming aspects, but I would highly recommend this game to people who love atmospheric walking simulator type games.

If you liked "Inside" you'll enjoy this. Beautiful art and music, soft game play that's more about timing and dodging things and puzzles just tough enough that you feel good solving them without the frustration, I beat it without any walkthrough in about 4 hours with about 22/35 collectibles -so it felt short, sweet and moving.

Inconsistent. Buggy. Annoying. Boring.
These were my thoughts throughout the game. Hold A or D, sometimes W or S to climb a ladder or maneuver on a fish, and use space to interact, these are all the controls. Game would often send you into a scene without explaining what you're supposed to do, for instance at the very beginning you are supposed to dodge a sliding container. It wasn't explained prior that you need to press space, and it wasn't explained prior that you can hide in the background scenery. If you die, sometimes you would respawn into a scene and despite doing everything correctly you would still fail and die again because the game decided to release the monster sooner than your cutscene ended. Interacting too fast with an object often canceled my interaction with it causing another unnecessary death. Situations where you needed to hide and maneuver, evading patrolling monsters in the background often included an annoying teleportation of the monster right to the gap where you are supposed to pass.
While the art was nice, the decision to create a powerpoint presentation for the movement and some scenes was not to my liking. I thought my game was lagging when I experienced it at first. Audio would also often cut, and/or have annoying pops.
If you're searching for a LIMBO, INSIDE or perhaps Little Nightmares experience from a game, this is not one of them.

kinda wonky, not in the entertaining way
i died a lot due to control mechanics, so the suspenseful moments and chase scenes were pretty meh
you need to be 100% on time and it doesn't always feel possible
on the positive side, the music and ambience were cool and some art choices are also pretty good

The Game have deep story and lore about post-apocalyptic that the kid (Main Character) live in the underwater and explore what is really happened to the ocean across the world. Plus, visual style is great and game mechanic is easy to play (You know just focus on press spacebar, arrow keys, and combination with the these two type button on keyboard). The game is created by local game studio from Indonesia. So, I am respect and salute to people that work hard in the game studio with vision to help and save the ocean.

It is hard to recommend this game in the state it is in, but if you're interested and can cope with its flaws, you may get something out of it.
- it is a walking simulator. It may look like it plays like INSIDE/Little Nightmares or the likes, but it's quite different. To begin with, there is no jump button. Instead actions are VERY limited to pressing a button when you're close to certain objects. Much worse, there are many quick time events with occasional button mashing sequences mixed in.
- there are some puzzles, but they are very simple and/or very tedious, and often repetetive.
- there are explanations through symbols but they are vague and misleading, which can result in wrong decisions for story progression which cannot be undone.
- there are bugs, which may not even be obvious. In one situation I was chased by a bug-like enemy that went a faster than it should (10% more than usual). I was not able to judge if it's my fault or not, so I had to look it up in a walkthrough - the enemy was indeed slower in the video. Exiting the game and restarting the checkpoint fixed the problem - but this was highly annoying.
-the graphics are obviously the main draw of this game, but be aware that some animations look quite raw still
Now that you've come this far, the question is, why is this still a recommendation? It's quite rare for me that I finish a game with so many flaws, but the world still has an atmosphere, that made me keep going. There went a lot of effort into the audio and visual design to create a believable world with nice characters, and I appreciate that. If you are looking for this kind of thing, and can look beyond the flaws I mentioned above, I'd say try it.
But you have been warned! :)

This is a boring game, all you do is keep moving right and then once in a while pressing a contextual button. What makes it worse is that sometimes you get a little bubble to warn you to press a button but other times you have to figure it out for your self. The animation is lackluster and the environmental message is as subtle as a flying hammer.

Graphics and sound are nice, but game play feels really restricted. You can only move and when you can interact with something or need to take an action with the one button. Sometimes there is a pinkish colour to signify you can use something. What's not communicated is, that you need to hold up and the button to get into cover.
Lot's of timed chasing scenes require button mashing to progress. Just hold the direction an mash away, it's the only thing to do. Otherwise - with the few options you do have - it was still often unclear to me if I wasn't fast enough or did the wrong thing entirely. Just run an mash.
Enemy patterns are always timed out in a way, that you think "oh, they're not moving back" and than they do. Often you have to actively move to trigger them or you *do* wait forever and then move back, or else they catch you. The pacing is really annoying.
When there are real puzzles to solve, they are alright. They fit into the world and have logic to them. It's like one per chapter, in between two chase sequences...
Weirdly, it's almost impossible to select a menu point using a controller and it seems to always detect a slight left input. As far as I can tell this happens only in this game. It's just random if it reacts to the stick input or not. Use the keyboard, that works far better.
On the whole, there isn't much interesting this games does. It's not a real platformer, it's not a real puzzle game, it's not a real walking simulator. It's too hard in places for the wrong reasons and you are always fight the controls. It is obsessed with chase sequences. It lacks focus.
