One of the least polished twin stick shooters around. Avoid this game if you can. It's not even worth it when it costs a dollar or two. The game has poor shooting mechanics, and a very bland and repetitive style overall. Good concept but terrible execution overall.

5min of this game (includes dlc characters) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HBaWh5WJQQ basic arcade top down shooter. the game is geared more for you and some friends to play some co-op. you kill stuff, do objectives, grab weapons, blow some stuff up, and fight bosses. crates drop health or weapons with a set ammo that once used up you'll drop the gun and enemies drop health or energy for your special, you can also find turrets to help defend an area. you chose 1 of 4 character (with dlc its 5+a new outfits for each of the main 4) to play alone or with upto 4 friends and they each have a different special move. there are 3 areas with 3 maps each (9 maps in all) +1 survival map (2 with the free dlc). the 3rd level in each area will have a boss at the end. Missions consist of destroy object X, carry cheerleader to Y, & stand at a location for Z sec. also there is no real story outside the text on the loading screens.

I was one of those fools who picked this game up during a christmas sale where they gave out free stuff for achieving things in games you owned. I miss those days even if they were shameless reasons to make you buy games. This game has bad reviews for a reason. I wasted hours trying to get that achievement and never did. It was impossible to keep enough people together and my biggest issue was the exponetially increasing respawn rate. die once, 20 seconds, okay, 40 seconds, um, alright, 80 seconds, seriously, 160 second, what the, 320, ARE YOU KIDDING ME. trust me, after multiple attempt for one silly achievement it getss annoying. The game has little depth, boring combat and was barely worth playing even with good friends. don't ever buy this crap. Even if it's free. well, maybe if it's free and you want to punish yourself.

Don't buy it. Unless its on sale for under $1.00. There's not much to it. You just run around and get zerged on. No new content. Gets old real fast. No replay value. its worth about $0.99.

This game plays like an early XBLA title, its missing sound effects, nothing has punch, the weapons are all trash, the objectives are extremely generic. its garbage

It's over 10 years old, so have some mercy. 1) It trods along in a slow way. Some deliberate design decisions don't add up to any excitement. 2) The graphics (models, characters, etc) and art design actually hold up pretty well! 3) There is no run button; everything is sloooooooooooooow. 4) Opening crates doesn't seem random and item "drop location" seem to be fixed as well. All together it makes a very repetitive and very frustrating experience. 5) Slowness is not how alien invasions and rescuing cheerleaders is supposed to go. 6) With a zippy new engine and redone sound design it could be excellent. 7) I'm sure the game design was "You have to use your gun and think! (Because you're a bag full of lead.)" 8) That's probably what this should be called: "Bag full of lead" I'll update this review if I ever subject friends, family, or hostages to multiplayer.

This game was rated near the bottom of zombie genre coop games. Honestly... its pretty solid considering its only $5. I wouldnt spend anymore than that. But its a good mix of Dead Nation/Dead Ops arcade with some pretty okay characters.

As basic as it gets and not exactly managing to charm me. Not at all bad, but lacking anything special about it. If you can: try a demo or otherwise only get it on discount and if you plan to play with friends.

I believe I picked this up in a bundle of some description. I gave it a shot, but this game's interesting ideas are let down by poor controls, dodgy graphics and boring, clunky mechanics. The best part was to be the co-op aspect... but no. Get Alien Swarm or Left 4 Dead to experience a good co-operative game. Not recommended. Another game I wish could be removed from my Steam Library.

Bunch of Heroes is just a plain shoot them all with similar tasks to be done over and over with near similar environment settings. However, the overall crux for which the game is known or even nearly playable is non-existent. There are only 9 campaigns in offline mode , the last 3 or 2 of which are improbable without a helper hero buddy. And there is no way any server is functioning at 2021 for the game released in 2011. Leaving the online mode aside, offline part of the game is as limited as some Indie demo and there is nothing much to offer besides praying to the christ to end this devilishly boring mission. From my perspective, it could still have sparked some interest had we splattered the waves of enemies with a friend but it is just Install, play and delete it as soon as possible for the sake of own's good health. Looks like these heroes are too immature to save the world and all they can do, is pick & drop a cheerleader to their respective cars. Sorry, these heroes are not qualified . Not hired.
