Finished campaign on Switch and wanted to again on PC.
It was fun for a bit once I switched to controller (on keyboard directional buttons are on the right, attack buttons on the left, opposite of controller) and got past the frankly brutal tutorial AI, juggling me for 20-hit 50% hp combos.
If you're not for that kind of difficulty, give it a miss.

literally 70% of the characters are locked behind a paywall, and theyre about $5 PER CHARACTER OF A FIGHTING GAME THAT YOU PAID FULL PRICE FOR. id rather sit on a cactus

The normal AI is like trying to fight a blender with a fork. Get some friends to fight that blender with. though I can't seem to play against them in a lobby

ok the summer sale is almost over so i should really make a review now.
i saw a lot of criticism about this game due to its graphics and ost and just being generally rough around the edges but i think those criticisms havent aged as well as i think the game looks amazing, as for the ost yeah its pretty generic but what me and all critics can agree is that the gameplay is amazing.
the team fighters ive played right now are marvel vs capcom 3 and skullgirls and whilst they were fun i feel like power rangers battle of the grid was much more what i was looking for, no team arial combo bullshit or worrying about assists and chaining supers just good ol juggle combos, one meter for the whole team, it was a really refreshing change that made this feel like 3 1v1s stitched together and im a big 1v1 fighter person.
most of my time playing this game has been labbing because of how fun making combos is or trying what i find online to see if i can land them but the actual game itself is just as fun. I do agree with the reviews that some form of combo breaker would be nice but at the same time once you learn combos of your own the game becomes a lot more easier and the bots are actually pretty easy.
the only criticism i have with the game is that it defaults to no block every single time so i think ive discovered a new combo several times only to realise the game has defaulted to no block again which is so brain rackingly stupid because the game remembers when you save the input display so why cant it remember that too? i also dont like how slow the combo timing is as its kind of an identity crisis between mortal kombat and street fighter, sometimes you can punch things in advance like mortal kombat and other times you have to dial it back more like a street fighter combo and overall id much prefer the whole game have a mortal kombat input reader as hit confirms aren't really a big deal and most of these combos feel like dial a combos anyway.
besides these criticisms its well worth it at the moment and id encourage anyone on the fence to try out the standard edition considering how cheap it is, plus you can always buy the dlc most of them are only like 2 bucks.
8/10 best team fighter i've played, hopefully i feel the same way about the invincible game and marvel akon when they drop.

Maybe this game would be fun with friends. But the tutorial only shows you how to get your shit rocked in a blender and the AI is absurd. Did not feel good to play. And I love fighting games. Instant uninstall. Glad I only paid 4$
