This game should be right up my alley: real-time strategy resource management bullet-hell tower defense! And you can program drones to do your bidding and expand your empire! Unfortunately, this premise falls flat due to poor drone AI, rendering the game too tedious and difficult. I had amassed an army of drones to capture the next base, but the AI is programmed to move in a straight line, and in a level design that has obstacles and bottlenecks, the AI is not savvy enough to "go around" so I was left with half my army trapped against the wall. Redirecting them to a new target didn't do anything. So I stood useless and overwhelmed by incoming enemy attacks. Replayed the same level several times and kept running into some variation of the same problem.
I'm not quite ready to hang it up, though. I was having fun up until that point, and I'd like to eventually unlock the rest of the game's full potential.
Some suggestions:
- fix drone AI
- allow a "pause" feature when in Q-map mode, as reprogramming all the drones and trying to secure a base can be overwhelmed faster than I can get into build mode
- allow drones to have a "patrol" mode for defense or "envoy" mode for flanking so they're not uselessly splitting up and diving every enemy base
Game has potential. I'd love to see it through.
In the meantime, I'd suggest checking out Particle Fleet: Emergence for a more dynamic, chilled-out version of Bulletorium.
edit: game deserves praise for a cheap, fun distraction and a responsive dev.

ARGHHHH!!
Have you ever had something so beautiful that is just scarred by one little scratch where the scratch takes away too much just because everything else is so good? ..That describes Bulletorium on launch day perfectly. It's a very creative, super fun little indie gem that is only hampered by one thing.. the inability to have more control over your AI drones! ..Watching your AI drones just mindlessly go off and do their own things leaving you to either follow them or do what you want to do all alone is infuriating! Making it all the more frustrating is the game shines so well in almost every other aspect except this problem.
Watch my first play video to see more about what I am talking about:

Still, I give this developer an "A" for his first game on Steam and only hope he can implement my suggestions or something to make the AI either smarter or give the play more control over the drones and this game would be an amazing little gem especially at its low price point of $1.99 USD!
83% is my score, and if he fixes the AI, it would probably get a 95% score from me. Still.. I recommend it to any retro top down bullet hell fans out there!

This is quite a fun strategy/bullet hell game, it only has a playtime of two hours and is more active with your main weapon than strategy with your other ones the upgrades do not require grinding to get, but I did.

+ decent idea
+ good fun for it's price
- tactical ui is horseshit and most likely made to be used with controller. Mouse+keyboard needs complete rework
- controls can't be remapped
- short
- too easy
