I would really like to recommend this game as I love the idea and part of the gameplay of Democracy mixed with Civilization's scope, but bugs and weird gates make an hours long run broken because of strange issues.
Example, I played 2 games back to back with bugs that ruined my "runs."
Game 1 tried nomadic and got stuck unable to progress so I changed to settled. Somehow that made the game shoot the era from iron age to the industrial age and disabled a bunch of mechanics you are supposed to use for the early game leaving a crippled unplayable nation.
Game 2 did a traditional run and made it to the end game, noticed the rival was developing nuclear bombs even though I had been waiting for them forever. Did a search through the policy list and found out I needed aviation from who knows when which I knew I had bought. Searched and found the policy and it's stuck at 98.61 even on auto invest. Fiddled with the bar multiple times on manual and tried to type 100 and still couldn't make it go so I thought I was doing something wrong. Nope, somehow the slider wont go further. Eventually did get it to go after messing with it some more but by then I would need to go through a bunch of other policies to make nukes and I got a game over screen for nuclear Armageddon. Just closed the game and started writing this as it's the most frustrating game over I've had in almost any game. One of the hundred orbs with sliders wasn't maxing like it should and totally locked out a whole progression tree that is needed to not lose the game.
I had problems like this in the same run that weren't as bad, like being unable to invent some weapons because I somehow didn't invent siege weapons. In a previous run where I couldn't invent guns and was stuck in the age of imperialism with only medieval weapons because I missed one tech in a previous era that allowed me to develop any kind of firearm till the modern era.
