a very emotional game, normally i wouldn't make a game review like this, but i don't think a game as ever made me feel like this, this game is making me reflect one everything... i went with the "lonely" option (not sure how it makes a difference anyway), it will make you rethink everything.... now that i think about it, i think this game made me feel "safe" in a way, like talking to someone that you can tell them anything and they won't be mad. stop worrying about the future and spend time in the present.

Before Your Eyes is an interesting game. It's a game without much replay-ability, one that isn't long, one without very many gameplay mechanics, and one that wants you to have a webcam plugged in for your entire play session. And yet, the only word I can think of here to describe this game is "masterpiece". The mechanics, while not very many, are beautifully designed, bringing you in with the blink control while building on it throughout the story and tugging on every emotion you have with the other mechanics like
the camera becoming physically harder to move as Benny comes closer to his death
.
But of course, mechanics have no use without a story behind them, and the writers here just know exactly how to rip your heart straight out of your chest and send you into a sobbing mess. Even though I'd played this game before closer to it's launch, revisiting it a few years later sent me into tears that were even worse than the first time I played.
This game, experience even, is a timeless masterpiece that is criminally underrated. The fact that I paid $15AUD for this feels like theft. GoodbyeWorld Games launching this as their first title is an incredible achievement, and I cannot wait to see their future work.

Before your eyes is one of those stories only videogames can tell. Its a beautiful game with a mechanic that really matches the storie's tone.
Few games can make you feel so much in just under an hour and a half. These are the kinds of experiences that are worth your time.

this game was so short but INCREDIBLY moving - i've never found myself crying harder at a game. the concept of "blink at the moment is gone" is so well done, i was constantly finding myself staring at the screen eyes burning, hoping for one more second in each scene. i recommend this one x1000000
